    Hi LCB'ers,

    Does anyone in Canada or the USA have any plans for Canada Day or July 4th? As long as it doesn't rain we will be bbq'ing and having some cocktails. Hopefully someone will have some good fireworks.

    Are fireworks legal where you are? Well, the good ones I mean. In Chicago you have so many people sneaking to Indiana to get fireworks with a big boom because all you can find here is cherry bombs, sparklers and teeny weeny firecrackers. thumbs_down

    I hate those M80's! OMG those irritate me and what's the point anyway? Not even pretty. Just basically a stick of dynamite.

    I love the fireworks on July 4th and usually go watch the city display over lake Michigan. The only thing i do not like about July 4th is my dogs are petrified of the big booms and sometimes people can shoot off fireworks til wee hours of the morn. I am glad i'm a sound sleeper!

    After I had the dogs, and the burgers, I didn't have any room for the brewski... I should have started with that first as you listed them in your post!!

    Happy 4th everyone. Im actually in USA atm and had a blast last night ( pun intended ). We had tons of fireworks and I even managed to burn through my favorite t-shirt.

    One of our cannons actually blown up as someone put in the charge the wrong way. 

    All in all good times. smiley

    Enjoy your visit in the USA Zuga! And those fireworks can be lots of fun but also very dangerous!  I am a former pyrotechnician...have worked on several huge displays out  West as well as being in charge of my own small shows on the 4th of July.  When you shoot off those big mortars by handlighting them (2.5" - 5" for me) you learn to respect the firepower those things have!  I am retired from blowing things up now...kinda miss it.
