Casino Behaviors...".The talker...."

        This is the player that wants to talk to you as you play. They want to know where you are from where you are staying and many other personal questions that you may not want to answer. Ignoring them or grunting short answers in hopes that they will take a hint to leave you alone may prompt the opposite response. They will then launch into a monologue telling you their life story or all about their latest winning or losing streak. If pretending not to understand the language they are speaking does not deter them you might have to resort to ear plugs.

      I found some of these casino behaviors listed on the web, and I got a real chuckle out of them! Thought you guys might enjoy them too. We have ALLLL been thru this. Would love to hear your stories.

This is my least favorite behavior when Im losing, but Im ok with it when Im winning. There is NOTHING worse than getting your butt kicked by a machine or dealer and having someone chatting away about what they are winning or even worse what they would do differently about your playing!  Drives me nuts!

I actually called security on THE TALKER.  I was playing video roulette (which I don't highly recommend0 and this guy kept standing over my shoulder and asking me questions.  So, I called security.  They actually escorted him out when I said he was asking how money I had won....which he had.

This is funny..I guess it does depend how far up of down you are, then some people are nice I will talk..and some I have given them the grunt myself.  Never really thought about it till now, but that really is funny.

True!  Some people are nice and interesting to talk to.  But, lets face it, casinos attract some creepy people....

LOL! I don't mind the ones that talk to either the players beside them or even just at the table. The ones that have to continuously speak across the room to this dealer and that dealer and this pitboss and that pitboss or even players at other tables - this drives me nutz - especially when he/she isnt even paying attention as to what's going on at the table - and decides to hit his hard 16 with the dealer showing a bust card and ends up with 21 instead of busting.

Which brings us to the other casino behavior that erks me - the streak buster (sometimes i think they are actually hired by the casino). These are the guys that stand there and watch you when you are doing well - start going on a streak - and so they see the table is hot - but their bet in - play until they lose one hand and leave - sometimes and i'll say most cuz it's the ones I will always remember -they play ONLY one hand - lose - leave. It's like throwing a wrench into the shoe - ONE HAND BANDITS! that's what i should call them. It would have been an investment had I just paid him for the hand to not play it - grrrrr! HAHAHA..wow...didn't realize how much that bugs me but they kill me all the time without fail when i'm on a run - which is why I can't help but think they do work for the casino.
