    Hiya Guys and Dolls,

    My cell phone is on it's last legs. It is a complete mess. The display window has little spots on the screen when i set in something wet. There is a little piece in the back that fell off and it takes forever to load. Sometimes when it is ringing the touch screen won't pick up the call!

    Right now i have a Blackberry and i do like it (when it was not falling apart) but my cell company now offers the iPhone. I am not sure which way to go. Get a new Blackberry, iPhone or something completely different.

    What kind of cell do you have and or can recommend that loads fast?

    I only have knowledge of the iphone 3 and iphone 4 and they keep their owners very busy I've noticed i.e. they are always playing with them.  They are easy to use and look like a lot of fun.  I've played games on my sons iphone and they also have some really cool apps.  Definitely worth considering Lips.

    I had an iphone, loved it to pieces.  Would love to have one again, but can't afford the contract anymore.  Mine got smashed (screen) and I was able to sell it all broken for $100!
    The apps are awesome and there are soooo many free apps.  I used to have so much fun with my iphone. 
    now I have an assurance wireless phone, it's free, and you get 250 free minutes a month, and it's really all I need, but no where near what I *want*.  <sigh>

    I had 3Gs Iphone that I gave away some time ago as I ordered an iphone 4 from the States ( for some reason Apple has certain restrictions for this market so you cant get it here, dont ask me why ).

    Friend of a friend bought it there but it was SIM locked and therefore useless. So I was going back and forth to find SIM free iphone4 and finally last week I got one through newspaper ads. In the mean time I was using nokia N70 and I hated it tongue

    IMO, iphone 4 is by far the BEST cell on the market and I would recommend it to everyone.  thumbs_up

    I think I'll steal some idea from here cause I have yet to get a cell phone since my move. So far the iPhone is in the lead.

    When I saw this thread it reminded me I bought my youngest son a cell phone for Christmas.  It's been sitting on the kitchen counter since 12/25 and never used.

    It was on the top of his list of 3 things he wanted for Christmas.

    Thank you all for the great advice! Seem's as if the iPhone wins hands down, even in the "real world" i am being talked into it.

    Now i just have to ck what my cell phone company is charging for it since my contract is up!

    Mine is Sony Erickson HD and it's a high def. camera built in 1080p.(picture qualities are great!)
    and Symbian operating system.
    Also it has built in GPS 3.2 inch, high def slim profile touch screen.
    I still get a bit confused with it since it has so many features but I do love it especially it's keyboards. smiley

    Update on the cell........

    This must of been a subliminal accident. I have been contemplating a new cell when just a few days after i made my post i spilled coffee all over my BB.

    So off i went with all your advice and gave up my BB for the iPhone. All i can say is WOW! What a difference in a cell! Its like watching TV with an antenna then going to cable. It's driving a beater car and slip into a Jaguar! It's like playing slots in 3D for the first time!

    It's like.........well you get the idea!! I love it. Wow puts the BB to shame. If i had to pick on the cell i only have one teeny tiny complaint, but even then i would never go back to BB....

    When i get a message or email or alerts of any kind my cell doesn't have a blinking light to let me know i have a message waiting. The BB had that feature. I literally have to go in my cell if i didn't here the ding.  Also some of the emails lag in getting to me. I notice when i check my cell it will suddenly add an email.

    But compared to these minor complaints it is an incredible cell.

    Better then blackberry you say. Got 4 more months on contract then i may join you in the iphone world. Is it as hard to learn as blackberry phone is?

    No, i actually found it to be much more user friendly then BB. A lot more applications too.

    Glad you found a new phone. I'm leaning toward the iPhone myself. All this talk, I gotta get one.
