    Hi Members,

    The announcement just in.......Chicago was the first one voted out in the possible four locations.

    Rumor was Chicago was a favorite to win. Being from Chicago i am of course really bummed. As I'm sure Americans are in general.

    Is there a political agenda for the top contender to lose? What do you think?

    Hmmm, what do I think???? Well lets just say that with everthing that's going on in our country right now, the PRESIDENTS biggest concearn was to try and get the olympics in his homewtown.......uhhh WTF!!!! why not take all the money he just WAISTED and put in into things we need like healthcare or something....Just an idea...

    Amen to that satansmuff.  I think rio won because there has  never been an olympics in south america.

    Obama looked like a naive begger.  Also, being the host city for an Olympic games is a pain.  Yeah, lots of nice world wide perks, but it can bankrupt a city.  I am happy it is going to Rio!  Do they have casinos there???

    Well, I wasn't keen either way, till I heard the price tag for the hosting.

    Estimated 14.4 BILLION.

    Dear God how many people could be fed, housed, clothed, sheltered??

    I think the "No" had an impact, but more so Rio's claim "It's time for balance in the Olympics Hosting" and I think that swayed them for this.

    On the bright side, though prices will possibly double, nows the time to start saving for tripping down to Rio and checking out the games, food and fun!!

    (Provided I'm alive and able to still go..I think $50 a week for 5 years or so should be a help...$50 x 4 X 65 months...$13,000 PARTY!!!)
