A special Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the LCB staff.

While in Vegas, there was a tragedy involving nearly 40 innocent people. A woman drove her car up on to the busy sidewalk & plowed through pedestrians. Not once, but twice! She killed one person & injured 36 more. She had a 3 year old child in the car with her when this happened.

At least 2 of the 36 injured, were attendees/athletes of the same convention I was in Vegas for. The Men's Senior Nationals Wrestling Tournament. This event was the first round of eliminations for the 2016 Olympic team. These young men are chasing their dreams of becoming an Olympic Medal Winner. Hopefully, their injuries do not prevent them from pursuing such an honorable goal & they are present in Iowa for the Olympic Trials.

Personally, I was at a Christmas show { Tony Orlando } during the time that this unfolded & respectfully had my cell phone muted during the performance. The story hit the news outlets & my loved ones began calling me frantically, unable to reach me or any of the people who traveled with me, because we were all at the show together.

When we finally exited the auditorium, we were bombarded with calls/text messages warning us of the events that took place on the strip. One of the people who attended the show with me is a personal friend of Tony Orlando { singer from the 70s }, so we attended the meet & greet with Tony & his family, who star in the show with him.

I did not know any of Tony Orlando's songs before I saw his performance but he was very entertaining & everyone else there seemed to know them word for word. Some of the audience members were celebrities ~ I use that term loosely. Leon Sphinx the boxer, Jackie Wilson's son, the lead singer of the Platters ( Sonny) & Mrs Dolly Parton! Yup, they were in the audience & Tony invited each to sing with him during the show. Leon Sphinx was not in great health so Tony took the mic down to him in the front row.

After the show, I played that new Britney Spears machine for a bit and overall made about $2 going up and down, playing the bonus round several times. If you are a Bonus Round Junkie, you will love this game, it is full of them!

Here are some photos of the Britney game, when it suddenly shut down during my second to last bonus round spin... along with a clip of the Tony Orlando show... some of you may know this song. My friends in attendance said this was one of his big hits before I was born!

But overall, it seems that you had a good time at the concert and plying that game.

So glad you and yours are safe jenna,  there are so many unhappy people in this world, who  want to make others just as unhappy a they are.
I hope everyone in the Vegas tragedy makes a speedy recover.
