Coffee is coffee...right?

Coffee..........

I love and love drinking it and smelling the aroma in the morning, afternoon and night...
there is something very home like in a cup of coffee, a relaxed just a moments peace before you get the speedy rush...
I also love making coffee dates with my friends so we can sit around and catch up on current events and after dinner as a desert...but my favorite coffee time is at night, when everyone's asleep, when I am surrounded by nothing but quiet peaceful moment, that's when I feel so blessed and thankful for a hot cup of coffee...
I wonder if my choice of what kind of coffee will effect how I feel about coffee...

           
               

But coffee is coffee...right? I mean every types of coffee taste the same...no?

I found there are several different types of coffee.
What type of coffee you are drinking can depend on many factors, such as what area of the world it came from, how the beans were processed or ground, or what was added to the coffee to make it more uniquely flavored.
These days, the coffee you drink in the morning or serve after dessert reflects your personal taste more than just how strong you like it, or whether you add cream and/or sugar to it.

Here  are some of the most popular coffees in the world.

Brazilian coffee

The country of Brazil produces more coffee than any other area in the entire world.
The hot, humid climate and rich soil of Brazil is perfect for large coffee plantations.
Brazilian coffee has been famous for many years and it wasn't too long ago that most coffee drinkers simply assumed that the coffee they were drinking came from Brazil.
Though it may be different these days, with many people being more conscious of where their coffee was grown, Brazil is still the largest supplier.
A lot of the coffee that comes from Brazil is very high-quality, with advancements being made all the time in flavor enhancement.
Coffee from Brazil can definitely hold its own these days against any other "specialty" coffees.

Columbian coffee

Running a close second to Brazil, the country of Columbia is a major coffee producer. Columbian coffee ranks right up there with Brazilian coffee in terms of richness and flavor, as their climates and soil compositions are very similar.
Many times coffee producers will combine Columbian and Brazilian coffees to make unique new blends that are very pleasing to the palate.

Hawaiian coffee

The only state in the entire United States that produces and exports coffee, Hawaii has been renowned for the special rich flavor of its coffee beans.
The famous Hawaiian "Kona" blends have been a favorite of coffee lovers for many years, and for good reason.
No matter how coffee makers from other areas try, they cannot completely duplicate the unique flavor of Hawaiian coffee.
Many people say it is the combination of the perfect weather, and the rich soil that has been produced by a history of volcanic activity.

So I am guessing there are many more countries and areas that produce coffee, and for each area that coffee is grown, the flavors can all be different...I am really curious and interested in trying all of different types of coffee out there...please share some if you know and have tried great ones...I am positive that there has some that I have never tasted or even heard of before!
It will be a wonderful adventure for a coffee lover like me!!!

The best coffee (I have heard opinions on this) is good without ANYTHING added to it. If you can drink it black, and enjoy it, that's good coffee.  :)

Anyway, I tired one from starbucks which was called "Pike's Peak" and that just about made me pass out.  *-*

VERY nice aroma, I bought a pound but my coffeemaker isin't a powerful one, so I did get "Some" aroma, I didn't get it all. Have to get a coffeemaker that can do 180 degrees. >:D >:D That's the type which will bring out the aroma and flavor you want in coffee.

I am not a fan of black coffee but every once in a while, I do drink without anything added...

Cool thread nan! My favorite coffee is always at a drive thru. No matter how many times i try to make coffee at home it never tastes as good when i buy it out.

My fav places for coffee are Dunkin Donuts and Star Bucks. Star Bucks took me a couple times to get use to it cuz it is very strong. Also what i like about Star Bucks, if you bring your dog they will give them a "pup cup". They fill up a little cup of whip cream for the doggies!!

I always thought I have tried so many different brands and types of coffee but I realize that there are many others that I haven't... 

Sounds yummy...I'd love to try it but doubt if I can find it.

I  <3 my coffee even tho I was a late bloomer and I need to have it ready when I get up at 3:00 am so coffee pot don't fail me now

the Jamaican Blue Mountain is grown in Jamaica , bought up mostly by the Japanese and is at least 20 to 30 dollars a pound found at coffee suppliers.

I love coffee!!  UNfortunately, I can only have 2 cups in the morning, so I look forward to it every day!!

My fav is the Sumatra Blend from Starbucks, avail at the grocery.  Sumatra is a "bold" taste, and some won't like it. Also the Starbucks French Roast,another bold blend.

I'm not a "coffee snob" and do drink coffee when I have to be out and about, provided I haven't already indulged for the day.
