WARNING!!!!!!!!!!
Just wanted to let you guys know that my mail service has quarantined about 6 messages in the past couple weeks that contain viruses from people posing as UPS and DHL delivery services.
If you receive any messages from these two, or any other delivery service that you do not remember ordering from, such as FED EX, etc. talking about tracking numbers, etc.
Be very wary of opening them, unless you know it is legitmate.
I had to dump my last computer...don't want it to happen to you.

I was face to face with that virus and guess who won? I had to buy a new computer for the work place. I tell my husband over and over don't open anything you don't know. This was a very bad virus it won't let you delete the virus at all. I tried spybot, mcfree I tried to re-format the hard drive I tried everything and it won't let you do anything so who ever gets it good luck with it. >:( >:(

A friend of mine just got a nasty virus on her puter. The poor dear was searching for of all things a Mash potato recipe and got a nasty virus. This virus wouldn't allow her to even view a web page. It kept trying to run files.
Good thing we have a mutual friend who is a whiz at puters and he is in the process of fixing it. He found four vicious viruses.
Watch out for mash potatoes.......they can be deadly!

Sorry to hear about your computer, but never just dump a computer. Get in contact with me, and I should be able to get you back up and running again. Im very good with computers, and also as a plus my bro is a 20 year Computer Tech. Not too many things I cant fix. My email should be visible, or just PM.
Thanks Jacob -

I usually can too. I still have the computer, and when I get around to it, I think it will just need to go into the shop.
I can't even get it to turn on. It gave me a couple seizures trying. I had to keep hitting the enter button rapidly, to prompt the usename, and it had some other block that came right over it. So I had to keep flicking rapidly with my right hand to keep the screen open, I could not see anything, only in between the lights flickering...it was like a light show...while doing that with my right hand and catching a glimpse of the screen...I also had to move the large box with my left hand so i could type in my password, and it was a very painstaking process. I did it over and over and over, got it going twice in two days enough to download my data onto a backup drive.
In the process, I did have a couple seizures. The lights flickering off and on were so hard to watch, and doing it for hours at a time for a couple days...it was really bad. I still have it next to me on a shelf, and sometimes look up at it and swear at it sometimes ;D
PS oh by the way...buying a new computer was the best thing I ever did. That one was the best at the time I bought it...I spent around $1500. on it. This one I spent about a third of that and got almost as good. Bigger screen, more comfortable, and the processor is so much quicker. And I really love my Window 7 -

New password-stealing virus targets Facebook
(I actually got this virus put in my quaranteened file, I almost clicked on it.)
BOSTON — Hackers have flooded the Internet with virus-tainted spam that targets Facebook's estimated 400 million users in an effort to steal banking passwords and gather other sensitive information.
The emails tell recipients that the passwords on their Facebook accounts have been reset, urging them to click on an attachment to obtain new login credentials, according to anti-virus software maker McAfee Inc.
If the attachment is opened, it downloads several types of malicious software, including a program that steals passwords, McAfee said on Wednesday.
Hackers have long targeted Facebook users, sending them tainted messages via the social networking company's own internal email system. With this new attack, they are using regular Internet email to spread their malicious software.
A Facebook spokesman said the company could not comment on the specific case, but pointed to a status update the company posted on its web site earlier on Wednesday warning users about the spoofed email and advising users to delete the email and to warn their friends.
McAfee estimates that hackers sent out tens of millions of spam across Europe, the United States and Asia since the campaign began on Tuesday.
Dave Marcus, McAfee's director of malware research and communications, said that he expects the hackers will succeed in infecting millions of computers.
"With Facebook as your lure, you potentially have 400 million people that can click on the attachment. If you get 10 percent success, that's 40 million," he said.
The email's subject line says "Facebook password reset confirmation customer support," according to Marcus.
Be careful...I got a similar one also. Don't click on anything you don't know. -

Not sure if anyone else has received this info - this arrived from a friend yesterday.
blue
Be Extremely Careful
Especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hot mail, AOL,Facebook, Twitter and so on.
This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation
'Life is Beautiful ' If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES , and delete it immediately.
If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'it is too late now; your life is no longer beautiful.... .’
Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.
This is a new virus which started to circulate on Tuesday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it...
The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner' -
