  • Ok so I am pretty sure lots of you will still have alot of chocolate left over from your Easter!

I have some good ideas for uses in cooking for you some of which are obvious but others you may not have thought of wink!

1st idea is my favourite especially good if its very good chocolate.

Home made mocha: make your coffee in machine as usual put about a quarter of your egg(or more into) about 50ml of hot water or hot milk and mix into a paste/gooey sauce pour in coffee stir well and enjoy! Can be topped with squirty cream or double cream for extra luxury! Trust me delicious I did this with my dark choc easter bunny!

2nd idea is chocolate sauce for ice cream, pancakes, waffles etc

again take about quarter or half your easter egg heat on hob the easiest way is to heat it above a pan of boiling water in a glass bowl/or fondue set if you have one mix it with cream or milk into a paste it should be pour-able but not too thick you can use this sauce on anything! You can also add butter to this mix to make it more like an icing or frosting wink!

3rd idea is just mix the chocolate sauce with any cereal or biscuits to make a tasty desert and serve with ice cream/custard/cream.

Lastly you can easily use your chocolate egg to make a tasty milkshake: put choc egg, milk, banana or whatever you fancy add cinnamon as well for something a bit different (only need less than a teaspoon of cinnamon to taste) put in a blender or food processor and just mix until smooth nuts can also be added for a different kinda taste especially hazelnut to make nutella tasting milkshake!

Hope ya like my ideas and hope you all had a cracking eggcellent easter cheesy laugh_out_loud!

  • These recipes can also be enjoyed by lactose intolerant lcbrs just change milk to soy milk or almond milk and use your lacto free egg smiley!

  • Sounds great i would try one but the candy just magically disappeared  embarrassed. Maybe i can find some candy on sale to try one of those delicious looking ideas.

  • Easter eggs after easter is insanely cheap better buying after Easter for handy chocolate to use tongue!

  • This sounds good, and I will take recipes 2 and 3, since I love my coffee straight smiley

  • Cheers Lootva I like Coffee all ways but it has to be very good coffee for me to drink it black couldn't drink the instant stuff like that lol!

  • My goodness those are great ideas bigdk! Love the fondue idea smiley
