    Hi Members,

    I have played at casinos and at moments have been weak and spent more than what i set out to spend. Afterwards i tell myself i will cut corners here and there and recoup my losses (out of guilt).

    I will go to the store and not buy for example steaks or think do i really need that half gallon ice cream this week with the crazy notion that i will recover the overage i spent at the casino. It never lasts long and within a day or two the whole recoup thing is out the window.

    Do you find yourself thinking that you will recoup what u have lost by cutting corners to justify what you have spent?

    Well....any money I save on anything goes into a jar that I end up taking to the casino.

    Hey, I'm just kidding...I was just thinking of the day Pam said she was collecting cans to save money for the casino, and it cracked me up.

    Seriously, cutting back on some ice-cream or steak isn't so bad.  I am sure you didn't get a lot of responses from this one because it's something most gamblers don't want to admit, is the down side of gambling.  I am sure there are a lot of people cutting back much bigger things.  Like RENT..CAR PAYMENTS..ETC..

    Well said Nal, I for one have not gambled if I didn't have the extra money. I set myself a limit and so far I have stuck with it. I just hope I can keep it up. laugh_out_loud
