so sad chill  some i know some i dont but all in all very sad :'(

so.........what exactly did all these people do for their country?  it kills me when everyone salutes all the celebrities when they pass and nobody says a word about all of our troops......and.........this happens over and over and over and over....go figure

actually,  after reviewing the list.......kim jong,  the leader of North Korea,  known to us military as the "chongger"  did do something for his country......which unfortunately has kept their economy in the stone ages and killed thousands  :?)

gosh, every day around here, local news and national, we salute the troops.  San Antonio is a very military town.  We salute the people who put memories or feelings into our brains.  I can't imagine ever not thinking about the military.  And the police, firemen, doctors...and everyone else trying to make the world a better happier peaceful place.  I guess these people did a lot of things, most of them, not necessarily for the country, but for the enjoyment and the paycheck, of course...not like we don't also pay the military.  But I understand what you are saying...I remember the guys in Vietnam getting no respect at all when they came home...if they did...sad...

I think we all appreciate our troops, war veterans and anyone else that has made/makes an impact on our world. We are all by nature compassionate, grateful, sorrowful, proud and everything else in between.

I really don't think it's fair that when someone in the entertainment industry is mentioned we are suppose to feel guilty for it, as if we lost sight of rest of humanity. We carry the loss of our ancestors including the great grandfather, grand father, fathers, uncles, brothers, aunts, mothers, sisters, sons and daughters every day in our hearts even the unknown soldier.

I think the entertainment world takes us away for awhile. Music soothes our souls, comedians making us laugh when we may feel otherwise there is not much to laugh about and movies take us to a world of imagination. Just ask the troops that are entertained by celebrities, we all need that comfort and escape now and again.

Just as we can't imagine what our world would be today if not for the soldiers that fought for their country and the blood shed i can't fathom a world without music, comedy and film.
