I don't believe that anything like that will happen on that date! It's just one of those "horror stories" that appear almost every year! Scientist just try to find any regularity in the universe...I agree that all goes in a circle, that humans can't exist forever, but I'm convinced that the destruction will happen much later!
I treat it philosophically! If it takes place we just won't be able to influence the situation anyhow! So isn't it better to live now and here!?  

Yeah...not buying it.  And "Mayan Scholars" are in disagreement about what that inscription means.  But....end-of-the-world stuff tends to get our attention!

As for me, I have at times read the Bible, the interesting thing is that it does mention earthquakes in "Divers" areas (Later explained to mean "Diverse Areas") and frankly, I have started to see this as Indonesia and others have suffered.

So, this "Could" be a sort of "Inclusive" with mayan and biblical thought. But I'm not about to believe the Mayan folklore totally.

I really though think the movie might be a fantastic show and I'd only go for the special effects. But I'm sure like "Cloverfield" they'll have a DVD out later which adds more to the film which means I pay for first run quality and get gypped (again!!!)

I being of the Christan faith believe that no one knows when mankind will end except God. When it is time it will be and I don't think any of us will know when.

hey lips its all most Dec 21. So what u thinks going to happen on that day.  I have 3. 

1) aliens will show up....lol
2) solar flare from the sun may cause damage to our satellite
3) nothing

Great pics and could very well be the truth. Theorists claim the Mayans just "stopped' at that point while others believe it represents the end of mankind as we know it because the calendar has had remarkably true predictions.

I personally think nothing will happen. There has always been predictions of the end of time throughout history and to be honest when and if it does ever happen we won't know until the moment it strikes.

Unfortunately there are radical people out there that believe in this Mayan calendar as a mark to the end and are planning for it and when they wake up on the 22nd of December will ask themselves "omg what have we done"!

I saw an episode of Wife Swap where the family taught their kids to plan for the end in 2012. They were extremely nuts.

in case you forgot, Dec 21 is the first day of winter.
