    I feel saddened with the demise of our space program. It seemed that we, as a country, were destined to reach beyond the stars. Perhaps Tyler Durden from Fight Club was correct with his quote; "When deep space exploration ramps up, it'll be the corporations that name everything, the IBM Stellar Sphere, the Microsoft Galaxy, Planet Starbucks."

    "Two of Nasa's three retired space shuttles were greeted with cheers as they traded places yesterday.

    In a rare nose-to-nose encounter, Discovery and Endeavour met outside the shuttle hangar at Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

    Discovery moved into the hangar and Endeavour went to the Vehicle Assembly Building.

    Nasa employees lined the route to watch something they will never see again as the two giant shuttles, reminiscent of two retired heavyweight boxers, were wheeled towards each other."

    I guess with tight budgets Nan, something has to give and the billions and billions the space program costs, it would be an easy target.

    It is sad to see the fall of Nasa. That is a very cool pic Nan.

    Planet Starbucks wouldn't be so bad. Yummy coffee and plenty of WiFi to go around.

    It is sad how our government has "misappropriated" funds to further their own political agendas instead of furthering the human race. 
    I am starting another post that should outrage people about govt mis-spending!
