Do You Hate to go to the Doctor?

Well, I hate going to a doctor who gives bad advice.

I had developed a umbilical hernia which he said "If it don't bother you, why bother?"

I later was apprised of the situation that at anytime if lifting over 40 lbs that it could increase size. now with me having no insurance, would just mean my impending bankruptcy would be only higher in what I would have to leave behind.

I had great insurance and no brains as I should have gotten a second opinion though..Stupid me.

However, I wasn't bothered later lifting 110 lb door parts for electrical conduits in the midwest, while working in 135 degree heat (Hey, great way to drop 5 lbs a day) Nor 40-60 lb engine heads a few months later

The doctors though I do like, agree to the provision of medication in acceptable limits only for the reducement of pain and not to hand out or sell to other unsavory charectors

That the pills (Of medium dosage) are washed down with a beer or two, is none of their concern..Really!!

My urologist is a female.....so, I sure don't mind going to see her   After the rubber glove treatment, I almost have the urge to leave a crisp $50 on the exam table.

No disagreement there.

i went to the doc not too long ago...wife went in with me...after the usual wait, wait wait...nurse comes back and says " i forgot to take your temperature"..."ill be right back"...so she leaves and comes back a few minutes later, and i start to take my pants off, and turn around.

nurse is like "WTF are you doing?!!!!"

i said, "i thought you wanted to take my temp?"


she turns bright red and tells me they don't do that anymore....

i also make it a point to wear my south park  boxers to the doc, just for comic relief

I dread that yearly trip to the doctor worse than most anything else. 

To say the word "Complete" physical is an understatement.  She leaves NOTHING to chance.  Every orfice is fair game. 

I'm like, you gotta/wanna do what??

What can you do....you gotta go....if you want to stay healthy.

Gotta be some of the most embarrassing/uncomfortable moments in life.

hahahahahha Tony. You crack me up.  This whole post cracks me up. There is such humor in every day life, if you don't laugh you'll cry for sure.

I'm on the table, in a terrible compromising position, and as she starts the exam, she asks me how my job is going, how my family is, or how I spent my Summer vacation.
Geesh.... Do they take a class on what to talk about during these times?  I am not in the mood for small talk, just get it over with already.  >:( >:(

I also have a dermatologist I see once a year.  A few years back I had a small carbuncle removed from my knee.  And I go back once a year to get the bod check over   Anyway....SHE, the doctor, is very attractive and I sure don't mind the "naked check."  Even the purple headed warrior gets a glance over.

So, between my dermatologist and urologist, at least I get some cheap-thrill action twice a year.
