Does Your Cellphone Have Horrible Battery Life?

Hey guys, I know with all of the smartphones today that the battery lives can be AWFUL!  I just switched from a Samsung Droid to a Nokia Windows, and the Windows phone lasts about ten times longer than my Droid ever did, and I actually like the Windows platform even better!

Here's what to do:  Go on ebay, and search the model # of your phone with the keywords 'external charger'.  You should be able to find a charger that plugs into the wall with the battery only.  I ordered one of these plus 3 extra batteries for only $11.95 plus free shipping!  This is also good if you're phone charging port starts to crap out and your phone won't charge....  You can just charge them up as you get a chance and then stick the extras in your pocket or purse.

I hope this helps somebody out there, because these days most of our phones are our lifelines, and being without one (that has battery life, lol) can be dangerous!

A great idea Jodi.  My battery on my iphone only lasts about 24 hours and more often than not, as I'm going out the door it says "battery 20%". 

Your suggestion would certainly help in this situation.

mines a dumb phone, and it's always having to search for signals so it drains fast as well.  It also gets very hot if I try to talk for very long at one time.  I don't like using it anyway, so tiny and my hearing isn't all that great to start with but with that little thing, well, if i move 1/4 inch I can't hear anything at all.

Nice tip jodi! I have to charge my cell at twice a day because it drains twice as fast playing app games. What i do now is just leave my cell plugged into the charge from my laptop so it's always ready when i am. But there has been plenty of times i leave the house and my battery is low esp if i play with it a lot before i leave and don't have time to charge it.

With all the advanced technology and the prices we pay for these phones you would think they could develop a decent battery.

IPhone has an internal battery, but there are still options out there.  Samsungs are NOTORIOUS for short battery life, I could go through four batteries a day!  Plus when you fully use and charge a battery they will last longer. 

I charge my iPhone like once a day. If I play games (which I do constantly) it could use more charging. Great tip though for those can that use the extra batteries.

I do a lot of games and random things on my phone when i am not at home and yes my phone is like on low all day . I have to charge it often .

Phone batteries really don’t stand a chance with how much we rely on them these days.Carrying extra batteries or using an external charger is a smart and affordable solution, especially when you’re out and about or your charging port starts acting up. Definitely a lifesaver when you're not near an outlet and need your phone to stay alive just a little longer!

Lucky (or unlucky) me i am from a time when we did not have cell phones, or even laptops for that matter. I remember when the first pager came out and you had to find a pay phone to make a call  . We built forts and played until the street lights came on . Cell phones have pros and cons to me and i can find the usefulness but also the cons in them easily. As far as portable chargers go i have to buy one because my phone needs one like yesterday  .

I recently dropped and RIP'd my iphone 15 and decided to bust out my old iphone 8 (cuz i loved the size of it) and it's battery life went from being pretty standard, to 2-3 hours MAX on a full charge. I'm convinced apple has some way of tweaking battery life to encourge upgrades (but that's probally just me wearing a tin-foil hat). 

I did, end up upgrading to the 16 (and F%$^%ing love it).

If i m not mistaken Apple has been doing this and have faced several class action lawsuits for basically forcing people to upgrade their Iphones. I have not looked into this much but i did get a class action for the Lopez voice one . I would not put anything past greedy practices.

Were a household of OPPO phones (Android) fast charge is great, takes about 20mins for a full battery, sometimes less. My battery lasts about 2 days, surfing web, streaming YouTube etc

Nope it wasn't just you Phildough. You can google search and you might find a current class action for the device u use. I am still going to look into it because my phone i just got less then a year ago is a crap phone .
