    Edward Kennedy lost his battle to brain cancer at the age of 77. The last surviving brother of the Kennedy dynasty.

    He is said to be the best senator of all time. Edward bared witness to tragedy after tragedy in what is called the "Kennedy Curse" within his family.

    Many prayers and condolences are echoed throughout the country and beyond...

    Very sad, I often wonder how differrent our country would be if JFK and Bobby Kennedy had both lived longer.  This is a huge loss indeed.  sad

    P.S.  How to you end up going by Ted when your name is Edward????  Just wondering.

    I didn't care for his political positions, but I respected the man and I can tell he really cared about poor people.  He is often ragged for sins in his personal life, but hey....."judge not, least ye be judged."  Big loss in the Senate...at a time he could be used to bring sensible balance to the heath-care debate.

    Shell Bell....the nickname "Ted" actually comes from the name Theodore. As to not confuse the same nick name for Edward for other names called the same....it was letter swapping from other names!!!
