    Hiya Guys and Dolls,

    It is my first time traveling abroad and i am enjoying every minute in England. I think what i am in most awe of is the history. The US being such a new country we don't get to see some of the oldest historical sites.

    I am amazed at some of the churches dating backing to 1500's and the site where the pilgrims set sail. I had my first fish and chips last night at a pub and it was awesome!

    Oh my and the chips (french fries) with malt vinegar is to die for. Didn't think i would like it but it was incredible. 

    I am trying to practice the Brit accent that is absolutely beautiful. It was raining the other day and someone asked me if i needed a "brolly" (hope i spell that right") and i had no clue what she was talking about and felt a fool when i realized it was an umbrella!  I have been asked more then once what part of the states am i from! I am like wow how can you tell........wink!

    I will be posting some pics soon and keep you updated on my stay.

    Sounds like you're having a great time Lips.  Fish and chips without vinegar is like bread without butter.  Try some mayonnaise on your chips too!

    I'm looking forward to your piccys and yes you spelt brolly right.

    When you get back, try to find a Long John Silvers and ask for the malt vinegar.  It is wonderful.

    My mom took several trips to England and the surrounding area.  Kissed the Blarney stone in Ireland.  So much to see and do.  Keep having an awesome time!

    Hiya Guys and Dolls,

    The last couple days here have been beautiful as far as the weather. Plymouth is where the Pilgrims set set sail to America. We had went to the landmark along the Barbican to see it. We took a train to a little town called Torquay yesterday. The sea there is spectacular and it has a beach. I think i could of spent half the day just being lazy in front of the sea.

    Blue - You will never guess what i had! Oh my guuuurlll i had a cream tea! And yes you are the first person i thought of when i had it. There is a really quaint tea place on the Barbican where you can sit outside in the garden and have your cream tea. We have not gone there yet but it def is in the plans because i must have the cream tea again!

    Oh yes and i had my first pasty the other day with potatoes and the other with meat. It was absolutely wonderful. I am sure by the time i get home i will have gained ten pounds!

    I have done a lot of pubs and there is one huge difference when it comes to serving drinks then at home. Every thing is measured out of the bottle. The drinks are very weak. A couple of places we went to i asked for a martini that happened to be on the menu and they both said they were "new" and didn't know how to make them! One asked me if the drink was from Sex in the City and i said yessssssss it sure enough is!

    I did find one place on the Barbican (by the sea) that makes some great drinks and sell them by the "jug" aka as pitcher.  All in all i think i will stick to beer! There are so many dif ales to choose from.

    Not sure what the plans will be today but i am sure we will find some sort of trouble to get into!!

    Awww Lips.  You know what, I was wondering to myself if you would try the cream tea.  So glad you have and hope you enjoyed it.

    Sounds like you are having a great time.  I'm so pleased and the weather is set to be hot again today.  You know what they say, the sun shines on the righteous.

    Looking forward to your next bulletin of your adventure.
