ETHICS QUESTIONS?

Two ethical questions:

Question 1: If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had eight children already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Question 2: It is time to elect the world leader, and yours is the deciding vote. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:

    * Candidate A: He associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologers. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks up to ten Martinis a day.
    * Candidate B: He was ejected from office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a large amounts of whisky every evening.
    * Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extra-marital affairs.

Which Candidate would be your choice?

1. No.  It's none of my business.
2. It would depend on how well they handle their liquor and what their platforms are. 

1. No because the life is a human right
2. I vote for the (B) im like this man

Tell a pregnant woman to have an abortion - no way.  A life is a life.  

I think I would have to pick Candidate B.  

Candidate A is involved with crooked politicians and Candidate C sounds like a right P.I.T.A!  Candidate C would probably make us all non drinking, non smoking, vegies where extra marital affairs are punishable by 15 years hard graft in the army.

I decided to take the answers out Blue shhhhh If you would  post them when enough people have posted their answers it was just too interesting seeing who people would vote for.  BTW these are REAL people in these questions, not imaginary.

well, i would NEVER approve an abortion to me it is murder and My first question is what period of time did this all accur years ago people had a lot of kids and a lot of problems same with the candidates i know years ago we did not know a lot of personal things about our leaders so i would want more info if it is available otherwise i will not make a blind vote this must be a trick question or something

No trick questions these candidates are real people.  The woman is real.

do you know the period of time years ago everyone smoked and drank it was excepted I want more info on the candiates and abortion NEVER no matter what God has a plan for every life and it is not ours to take it

I think number 1 is Beethoven.  And number 2 is probably a politians that everyone likes.  So, it is not an ethical question, but a trick one

Would not recommend abortion, but would suggest taking care of the STD before baby is born

Yes Dr.......I have seen this before although I can't recall the names of these people or what they really did......wow it must have been about 10 years since I was the politician question!!

Ethics are timeless.  Ask yourself, If you would Vote for someone who smokes and drinks and has had several mistresses? Its your own personal preference that counts not what others around you think or the time frame this was in. Is that your Vote would you want him representing you?  Or would you pick someone who sleeps until noon?  Or would you pick the vegetarian? 

Dr, Here is your #2 you stated probably someone everyone likes therefore a trick question?

I wouldn't say everyone likes him, but these are facts, no trick.  So this is the Man who gets your Vote?

I have to chose B...can't even imagine if we have previous war hero...as a world leader...

It surprises me that know one has picked the #C - Vegetarian?  That is so, green earth politically correct now?

Yes, C would be the choice for most people, the obvious choice, but not for me - I think some may agree - I don't trust anyone who is that "perfect".

B on Nr.2. I think C would be out of touch with everyday people and probably make us all be vegetarians over time

As for the first question...generally I'm against abortion! But I think everyone should make their personal decision! Life is life - of course! But we should talk not only about baby's life....Can you imagine the life of that woman??? So if one day I meet this woman, if there is a situation like this in her life and she asks me my opinion, I'll say YES! 
As for the second one...The options don't give any mental pabulum, any agony of choice...it's so evident...In A and B there's no positive information! In C visa-versa! It's just impossible in real life! So someone wants to make us choose C!!! lol lucky8s, who do you work on!?! 

1.) Totally up to her.
2.) Depends on how much it would be in the public eye. A President is also a public figure and needs to set an example.

And this gives us alot to think about.. who and what becomes of what
fate and destiny taking its course, and now abortion gives us
the choice of who lives and dies
What what it of been like without Beethoven?
That part of talented and musical history would have been omitted..

Yep....I am for a woman's right to chose, but Lips' ethical exercise makes us all wonder how many Beethovens, Mother Teresas, etc, we have aborted.  Good point!

Question 1.  We should all know who that is.  But I would NEVER suggest an abortion even if I 100% think it should be done.  It isn't my place to tell another woman what to do with her own body.  Just like I wouldn't want ANYBODY else's advice.

Question 2.  I am guessing A and B are probably our current and prior presidents and C was the guy who didn't get elected.

I would probably vote for A though!!
