Fake or Real?

Hiya Members,

I see some people with plastic surgery and i have to ask myself why why why? There are girls as early as their 20's now getting plastic surgery for age lines. Not too mention the rise in fake boobs when they are already healthy enough! I don't really get it. Looking at some of the stars with face lifts they look worse than if they would of kept the lines of wisdom on their face.

I could see cosmetic surgery for a disfigurement but when a person has natural beauty why mess with a good thing. We have become so obsessed as society about the way we look we have become our own worse enemy.

If you could afford to get plastic surgery would you? Or do you feel like it has gotten way out of control.

If I could afford it the answer is, I would pay for it.
I have been really good looking, and to become 46 years and see everything fall down, it hurts. I don't mean that I would like to change me, but maybe make me look a little like before. That wouldn't hurt would it?

I think it is tough when we get older and we don't see in the mirror what we use to. But you said it best Tirilej your a good looking woman so your already ahead of the game.....if you think your beautiful.......then everyone else will think you are too!

Slot i relate to the sweets! I'd give up dinner just to get to dessert! Give me a Kit Kat, Snickers or the new Milky Way with caramel only and oh my i am one happy gal!

It can all hit the floor(and it's well on it's way ) and I am gonna keep on keepin' on!  I am saggin, draggin', spreading, cellulitin' jigglin' and guess what, that smile you see on my profile pic, I am gonna keep on wearing! It is what it is! I love me from now to the end(it wasn't always that way, at one point I didn't)!

But I believe one should do what they feel they need to, to make them self feel good and be happy!

imo it is hard for a woman (at least here in the United States) to have self-esteem high enough to be happy the way she already is.  You have these images in the media, slim white, blonde and blue eyed, statuesque and no more than a size six.  How many women can fit that profile? (Although I've noticed a lot of republican women as of late with these attributes.)

Also keep in mind many of the women you see in the media have agents and showbiz handlers that encourage plastic surgery, so maybe if someone is considering Hollywood the nips and tucks may help :-P

REAL for sure. The physical looks is usually what we first notice about the opposite sex. But what you carry inside is what counts.  And I wouldnt change a thing about myself, and hell if i would allow my GF to go thru any plastic surgeries. Shes perfect!

Even if i could afford it, NO WAY.. i'll just stay my little ol' self...

No surgery for me! Each change in the body shows that we've lived life. I hope I will feel the same when my boobs start to really droop!

I guess I'd agree with everone and I'm glad I' small,so when nature took its course if I had a boob itch it doesn't look like I'm tickling myself around my waist.

From a guy's perspective.  I mean, there isn't a whole lot appealing about boobs that hang down to the knees.  But.....fake ones that are too tight and feel like hard rubber balls are not great either.  If plastic surgery gives you a self esteem "lift"  then go for it.  But as-the-Lord-made-you sure has appeal, too!

I think i want to grow old gracefully and wear the crows feet proudly for the wisdom of life that i lead. Actually i think crows feet in guys are kinda sexy. How come they can't be on woman!

But if i had to choose one...........hmmmmm i would go for butt implants!!

Only after i got hair extenstions, lip injection, liposuction, tummy tuck, and a dimples put in my cheeks.

LMAO.. just tape it up! Duct tape was the best invention ever, instand butt lifts DUCT TAPE IT!!  Need some boob lift.. DUCT TAPE.. i'm surprized they haven't come out with see-through or invisiable DUCT TAPE! A little Duct Tape behind the ears.. wella..!!

And if that ain't enough lift behind the ears where your hair in a real tight ponytail!

I guess I never gave (as some might say) "A Tinkers Damn" about how I looked.  I still had the gf and friends and lovers I liked and never changed for them and we got along great.

Here is the psychological evidence on cosmetic surgery.  If one is basically a well adjusted, healthy functioning adult who just wants some changes, then cosmetic surgery is fine.  It simply is just another good "life enchancer."  (Like ADDING going to the gym, getting some clothes you like, starting to attend church, deciding to rearrange your house, etc.)

However, there is amble evidence that if one is already depressed, or under any sort of prolonged mental or emotional distress, then cosmetic surgery highly increases that condition and it's symptoms.  For example, it was measured a couple of decades ago that women who have cosmetic surgery have a 300% higher suicide rate than the normal female population.  So, if a female (and yes, we have to focus on females...there is not enough data on males and cosmetic surgery, yet)  and you feel REALLY bad over a long period of time, then thinking getting a tummy tuck, boob job, etc, will make you feel better is a myth.  It will have a very short term boast, but long term the woman will be disappointed it was not a "magic bullet" to her emotional well-being.

Couldn't agree with you more doc. It is a temporary fix. What really needs to be fixed is the persons self esteem and realize it ain't the size of her booty or the size of her jugs.......it's the size of her heart that counts in the end.

After 3 kids and having pre-eclampsia with all (that means going from 120 to 201 pounds)...and they were born between 2 and 5 weeks early.  :o  You can say my boobs looked a bit...um...aah.... droopy.  :-\

Yep... got implants.  Not huge knockers that walk in a room before me.. ... but ones that look more like they did when I was 20.

My husband does look like this when I wear a low cut or tight shirt...
