    we have for years since our kids were little rode around for hours just looking at xmas lights on xmas eve then we meet back at my house the grandma and we open one gift and have hotchocolate, coffee or hot toddies and donuts.  To see there little faces and the go again grandma and the older kids laughing makes my xmas then we all go home and meet the next day.  Happy to say it has one that even as my 21 kids have scattered they still do this tradition with there new families.

    Hi Spazz,

    I have to agree driving around and looking at xmas lights is one of the highlights of the season. We had one house every year we would go to. It was the most spectacular house i ever saw. There was a trail of cars for miles to get to this house.

    One year they just stopped decorating.  I later learned that there was a divorce :'( :'(. Maybe the wife just couldnt take the electric bills anymore!
