Flash end of life: December 2020

Many online casinos still have lots of games that require flash.  I assume all these games will simply no longer be offered after Dec 2020 when Adobe stops maintaining it (and chrome stops supporting it...many other browsers already don't).

I would guess the overall number of unique games we have will drop by more than 20%?

Would be curious to see how software providers react to this.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Many providers have already started converting their games to HTML5.

We're bound to lose some of the favorites I suppose (some of my own all-time favorites are Flash only right now) but I doubt the percentage will turn out to be that high once Flash is over and done with for good. 

And considering the fact that nowadays so many new developers are showing up on the scene, we are getting so many new games it's hard to keep track. 

I know I mourned the loss of Marvel slots, but I lived and that's that. What can you do :)

completely different and payout worse as well in my opinion

I hear complaints about the new DOA behaving differently during the features, mainly in terms of variance, even though the RTP remains the same.

It seems you need more spins to trigger the feature when compared to the Flash version, but the HTML5 bonus rounds pay more often or pay higher for mid to high range wins. 

So if this is really true, and not the result of some skewed perception on the part of the player, NetEnt's logic is that it evens things out pretty much, but the reasoning behind this is strange and doesn't seem to benefit the player in the long run. 

Still, it's not really possible to back this up unless you've been recording hundreds of 'before' and 'after' sessions and have some sort of empirical evidence.

The loss of flash player has affected way more games then I ever could have imagined! Is anyone else at a loss for their favorites? Bovada almost halved the number of slots as well as Clubworld. They are still playable on mobile but on desktop there is very little choice now!

Just to add - I know games are missing or unplayable in the browser due to flash issues on most RTG sites and Rival.

However normally these casinos have a downloadable client and therefore I notice when you download the casino client, then you can actually play those games that should be available in flash. I notice 1 or 2 games even still work on Mobile but not on instant play. Just my 2 cents if it might help someone.
