Strong Meteor Shower Expected TonightThe annual Perseid meteor shower is expected to put on a good show this week for those willing to get up in the wee hours of the morning and wait patiently for the shooting stars.In North America, the best time to watch will be between midnight to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, but late Tuesday night and also Wednesday night could prove fruitful, weather permitting.I always like this show. I've watched it off and on for 10 years and sometimes it's a dud, but on good years it's a trip.

Thanks for reminding us...i love to watch the stars wars light up the sky. Its so amazing. Makes me realize just how much there really is up above in that night sky. We have so much light pollution here in Chicago that i never really get to see it that often. I was in Wisconsin at couple times and saw it. The shooting stars were breath taking.

I have always been fascinated with the stars and have a real thing for the moon! From the time i was a little girl.....i would cry to my parents and say "i want the moon...i want the moon"! There is just something very magical and romantic about the moon!!!

I had a wild dream once that i was sitting in the back of a convertable driving down the highway.....i looked up into the nite sky and pieces of the moon were falling and i was trying to catch it in my hands. I finally grabbed a piece and i was sooo excited...lmaooo!

Hmmmm i wonder what Freud would say about that one!
