  • Was having a conversation with ba friend who came from the UK. he was quite disturbed that there was a giant billboard advertising loans for gambling. What kind of idiot comes up with an unhuman decision like that. absolutely disgustin. There are people out there who are remused loans for medical services, education, housing etc. and here peolpe are making heartless busineemen are seeing an opportunity in making gambling addiction a business. What exactly is going on in the UK?

  • I'm not surprised. People always find a way to make money on someone's addiction. easy buck...

  • This gets my mind full of unanswered questions, like how are they sure its getting used for gambling?

The percentage interest they can ask.

If this is authorised by the politicians?

Like to have a chat with the people that got this in there head.

    And more and more.

its a crazy crazy world isnt it sometimes

  • It sounds bad but I would laugh if I saw this ad, this is so wrong in so many ways. I could not believe people actually allowed to do this kinda things.

  • Like Snowbowl said, not surprised, but still.... for god's sake, is it even remotely legal to advertise a loan for gambling?

  • I'm afraid that "all is fair in marketing and war"... People should use their own head when making decisions such as gambling with a loan...

  • Well, when i got into marketing in college, i saw a lot of this.  There are a lot of people who make money off of addictions like gambling. Like i n the rehab industry, getting money for literally taking junkies off the street and getting them somewhere to get help, as long as they have insurance you get paid.  But they make more money if you leave rehab and get high and come back a couple weeks later.  So that's the people they would target. Young teens with insurance from parents, and probably not gonna quit.  You can look at it two ways.  That guy is gonna get a loan somewhere, so they might as well make some money on it, and he wont have to worry about his legs.

  • That should be illegal really, it would of be if it's up to me.

Yeah, of course you could borrow money any other way and still gamle after that but that's just wrong really.

These days the so called fast credits are very popular here and they really harm the borrowers, some of which gamblers  with a ridiculous interests from 400-500% and even more if you're late with the repayments so I wonder why so many people getting those anyway, that's just stupid.

  • that is awful thing to have. I know people who has gone into debt gambling.
