Given the choice would you rather...

Hi Lips- great posting! I would pick being able to say anthing I want and be able to take it back! There are a few people I would really like to do this to! I would never have the nerve otherwise! lol.

This is a tricky question, it's like okay.. hurt me.. or hurt you.. feeling as though im not a mean person, but have said things...

I would choose to say anything i want then take it all back, because all is said then GONE~ i think this would be more healthier, i wouldn't want to know what others say, i really don't care if they gossip about me, let them, but it would still hurt my feelings and i would have to live with it. As for myself, i'd rather say it and take it all back, not that i would want to hurt anyone..and also the person im saying anything i want to has the same advantage, to speak and take it all back.. even steven, i know i have said things i never really meant out of anger or not being polite, or second guessing, i just know i wasn't fair, feeling so badly about it, we learn as we go. I don't get angry to much at people, me saying anything i want and taking it all back, probably wouldn't be that bad.. few words lol.

There can be some really mean people out there that can and will say some mean things without a second thought to it, no conscience

i would like to say it and be able to take it back as well.  It would be nice to hear what others are saying, but like above, it would mean hearing things that are hurtful and probably would do nothing to help the situation.

I would definitely rather say whatever I want then take it back. Kinda like playing bumper cars while driving. Sometimes I just wanna smash into people then make it all go away!

I think if I could hear every conversation, I'd soon go crazy! So, I think I'll pass. And besides, I'm a person who talks too much, so I'd rather be able to take back anything I want.

P.S. Oh, and one other thing - just like we say things that may hurt someone and then want to take them back, other people do it as well. So, we shouldn't feel too heart-broken when we hear someone talking behind our back, they'll probably regret it very soon.

In the first condition, can I speak in addition to hearing everything?  lol

I choose condition 1:  being able to hear every conversation...but only if I was still able to speak! 

If condition 1 is 'hearing every conversation' and at the same time no ability to speak, then fuhgettaboutit!...I'll choose condition 2, being able to take back everything I ever said.

Being able to see or hear what others have to say but not being able to speak makes me think of that sad mime behind the glass, so depressing, always the outsider looking in.  Having a voice, being able to affect the people around you with your words, thoughts, and ideas makes life that much more worthwhile.
