Going to Vegas for New Years.

Hey Gang,

Every year the hubby and I take an "adult" vacation, meaning we take 1 week a year to go some where without our daughter.  That is something my hubby and I said we would do even before we decided to have kids, take that week just to reconnect with each other. Thankfully, our marriage has been great and we have yet to disconnect from each other. But what the hell, we still take the week anyway. Every year we go to Las Vegas for New Years. We meet up with my 17 roomates from college, and there spouse or significant other. It is always so much fun.

December 1st was my 41st birthday, was kind of hard this year because I didn't get my 5:45 AM phone call from my father. He always called when he got up to be the first one to wish me a happy birthday, even though he lived in my house he still called from his phone. To funny.... Anyway my daughter who is 9 is trying like hell to come with us on this vacation. She has resorted to making us feel guilty for leaving her with her grandparents, even went as far as asking for our credit cards to book her own private vacation. When we said no, she hit up Nana and grandma and grandpa to donate to her vacation fund.

When I told her that she could not travel by herself because of her age, and that is was against the law, she replies, "Mom, you spend 20 minutes in the bathroom every morning trying to look younger, it doesn't work. How long do you think it will take  me to make myself look as old as you?"  Oh my god, I almost crapped my pants, so I said "I may look old to you because I am your mom, but dad is still into me, that is all that matters!" My hubby was laughing like crazy, so I asked why he didn't back me up. His reply "Wait til Vegas you cougar, you will see how much I dig ya."

Cougar, I am 6 years younger than he is. God I really need this vacation. This "COUGAR" doesn't come cheap ya know!!!

The weather lately has been great, cold but not that bitter, hit the strip and have a good time, visit downtown they have made alot of upscale changes

We go every year for New Years Eve. It is always alot of fun. This year we are staying for 15 days instead of 7. Can't wait!
