Happy 4th of July

I just wanted to wish my LCB family a Happy and safe 4th of July!    I will be camping at the lake and I know I will have withdrawals not being able to check my favorite forum like I usually do.  I swear it has turned into an OCD thing at this point.  :-\  I want to hear of some amazing wins and see some fantastic screen shots when I get back!  Good luck to you all.  Hugs

Lake camping sounds like so much fun!  I went beach camping in Oxnard, CA last week for an evening; twas awesome...it had been awhile, years, since I camped.  I hope you and your fam fully enjoy yerselves.

Thanks guys!  Camping was good at first.  My younger sister separated from her husband about a week ago so her and her two kids moved in with us.  She was rear ended back in February.  she has 4 herniated disk in her back and 3 in her neck.  She is having injections in her neck and since her back is so bad they have her scheduled for surgery next week.  They really think once she recovers from the back surgery they will have to do neck surgery.  On top of all this she ran out of FMLA from her job she had been at for close to 5 years.  She was a jailor.  Anyway, they fired her two weeks ago due to medical reasons.  Now she has lost her husband too.  She has it so bad right now.  We thought this camping trip would be good since it would be the last time she could do anything until she recovers from her back surgery.

Monday morning we woke up and were having coffee at our campsite.  We were about to walk the kiddos down to the water to swim before we headed home.  She has high blood pressure and is on meds for it.  Every time she would stand up she would get dizzy.  Finally, she stood up and fainted.  She almost fell in the campfire.  Luckily, she had two family members assisting her when she stood up.  My Mom and Aunt rushed her to the ER.  Her blood pressure was 42 over 27.  They said it was at stroke level and she could have died with it being that low.  They said when it is that low your brain cells can die!  They gave her 4 pints of liquids because she was dehydrated.  Finally, her blood pressure raised back up slowly to normal.  I can't believe I almost lost my best friend, my sister.  We are truly blessed. 

Please say a prayer for her and my family.  It would mean a lot to us.  I hope your holiday was much better than mine.

Your poor sister bonusround.  Just when she thought things couldn't get any worse, they did.  My thoughts are with her and she certainly deserves a "break" from all the stress and trauma in her life.

I hope she makes a speedy recovery from the surgery when she has it.  You were truly blessed that she survived this episode whilst you were away.
