Have You Said Thank You Today?

What does a 'Thank you' mean to You? ::) There are so many LCB members that do good things, Great things here in the forum everyday and do it because this is a wonderful forum. That is one of my favorite feelings(and I go through alot...I'm a thinker)to have: an  unexpected appreciation, it just feels GOOD! There are so many members here and they(we) all look out for each other, and that alone deserves a 'Thank You'.Now I know not everyone cracks a smile when they see another "Thank You Post" is added to their received and not Every Thank You deserves a thank you but sometimes it is so unexpected. I mean just something simple and, well...I just have to say THANKS MAN! for the appreciation, ya know? I think we all have clicked that 'Star' atleast once .That is what a Thank you means to me!

Great post BOOIE, I am going to "Thank" some1 in my "Real" life today!  Just to let them know I appreciate them! 

I'm glad for this "Feature" having to wade through 22 postings of such for a free chip posting is time consuming.

Well by all the Thank yous I see to the side of everyones posts I know we have a very appreciative and grateful family here at LCB. It does bring me a smile to see that the ONE member I had in mind that gave me the incentive to start this thread had given 1 "Thank You" the day after this was started. This whole Forum is here to give so it would make sense that we all said thank you to 1 other member at least once a day,right?

QUESTION FOR ADMIN:  PLEASE READ

when this thank-you given/received tally was started, i thought it was stupid...but i guess it does have its good points.

i do believe that when it was started, we were told, that the thank-yous given/received, would not only be counted from the button pressed, but also from the ones posted in the threads, such as the one satan has here.

i see a big fat 0 on her count, and have seen her thanks us in posts prior to this one, also...and many other too.  what happened to this?

many people do not use the thank-you button, but say their thanks out loud, and it is not getting accounted for...

Nal...I think the only was to get credited for given thanks is by pressing that button. I do say thanks in post, but I never bother with the button....lol. It's less personal with the button in my opinion!!

yes, i absolutely agree with you...

they said in the beginning that they would take all the thank-yous from our posts, and the buttons.  it obviously is not being done.  i am using you as my point, since you are showing up as 0, and you can see it clearly...

lol Nal......I think that would be way to much trouble for admin to have to read every single post to add a thank you to your list...!

It's only tallied when using the thank-you button. I agree there may be  moments when giving a personal ty is nice in a post. Particularly when wanting to add more than just a simple ty.

The ty feature is was added to cut down on posting particularly in the ND section. It is saves space and saves members from going through countless posts to find a code. It also helps in keeping the board clean and neat.
