    A Kenyan man has been charged after pretending to be an assistant commissioner of police for no less than five years!

    His name is Joshua Waiganjo and he is said to have sacked and recruited police officers in Rift Valley province during his spell as police boss smiley

    He was reportedly uncovered after flying on a police helicopter to investigate a massacre of officers. In November, at least 42 police officers were killed by cattle rustlers in the Suguta valley - the most deadly attack on police in the East African nation's history.

    A police spokesman said that Mr Waiganjo had not been paid a salary by the police service though.

    Sounds like a movie script, doesn't it? smiley But it's real, or so they say.

    Incredible that he got away with it for so long....but not getting paid? 

    As for that terrible incident in Suguta valley - that is just awful..

    That's a scary thought. How in the world could you pull off a scheme like that for so long? He must have done more than admire police work that drove him to do this. He probably got plenty of kick backs for information etc.
