Question for the people having the issue....this low amount you wound up as your stake, was there a bonus used?
Sometimes that happens, like let's say you get a 20$ bonus off your 40$ deposit. You play, you lose most of it, except that last dollar or two.
So then you are playing that money, and as you go, you get down to .50 cents. Somewhere between there like around 20 and 0 the bonus can autocancel itself. So since you have already lost your deposit on the front end, that being the money you gamble with first, when the bonus cancels itself, it takes all bonus funds and winnings with it. Which leaves you at zero.
This happens at many casinos, Anonymous Casino is one off the top of my head where I have seen it happen. I would imagine that any casinos on the same network would have a similar action, often the bonuses are set by network gaming provider, not by the host casino. Which is, also, why you have so many offers that look alike. The hosts, aka casinos, just run the money part basically. They punt their marketing and bonuses and similar to their provider.
If you didn't have a bonus, and were using cryptocurrency, it is also possible at that low of a balance that the coin you used fluctuated in value enough to zero out. Several casinos update in real time or close to it if they convert your crypto to fiat for the games. Like you put in 1 LTC but when you go play the slot, everything is in dollars and cents.
If it isn't either of those two reasons, I have no clue and am sorry if I wasted your time. :)
