How does a 4 year old spend this much money?

Have you guys heard of the news that a supermodel Linda Evangelista is asking French billionaire Francois Henri-Pinault who is the father of Ms. Evangelista's four-year-old son for $46,000 a month in child support?

I am not sure if I could put this case as 'wealthy against humanity' or what, but wow...
I don't think this man being a billionaire is the real issue or a mother who desperately is asking for the rights for her son here.

Can you believe this? How a four-year-old could possibly burn through $46,000 a month?

It's all relevant. 

Seems ridiculous to us but if the father makes billions he should pay a % just like every other dad.

If a dad makes $25,000 a year and another makes $350,000 a year, they pay a %, does it seem fair to the less fortunate kid?  Not really but it's all relevant.

Linda was highly criticized for saying she wouldn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day.

If she is used to THAT much money..... she would never survive on most peoples income.

Actually, by the time you factor in the Nanny, Private Security & Private School costs alone, that takes up a bunch of that money - unless, of course, those costs are being paid outside this $46K request.  This is a known child of a known billionaire, that alone makes him a much more expensive child to raise.

Agreed...the father should pay that much at the least. It is based on percentage of the fathers income as mentioned above. The kind of lifestyle and expenses the father has is what he should provide his child with...I see no wrong in that. He's a billionaire so that's not gonna hurt him financially.

I agree 100% with what you said. He has wined and dined this woman and now she is accustomed to a certain lifestyle and he has to pay for the upkeep of this child.

I think even to date someone super rich i would be even worse on a break up cuz the guy has spoiled the hell out of you. Then you got to go back to the life ya had before he came along because by law he owes you nothing. That can't ever be easy.

She might give the kid caviar with his cornflakes for breakfast... But that wouldn't cover the 46,000 either so I guess the little one spends a lot on chewing gum and candy too...

I did hear about this. Regarding the security, what with the economy as it is, I'd think that may be much, but some people might try anything for cash.
