How often do you go?

Lips I read your headline and already had my answer...I was gonna say about 4 or 5 times a day.......then I read the actual post! As for your question...I don't go at all because I don't believe a word they say. I'm not saying there is no God, but I'm not saying there is....I believe whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen. No one knows for sure what happens to our souls and those people who claim to have come back from the dead aren't really any help either....because there is no coming back from the dead...Once your dead thats it and theres no coming back to tell....for those who "died" for a minute or to didn't really die, maybe your heart stopped or you quit breathing, but something was still working and the 3 trillion cells were made up of were still alive.....

I was born & raised Roman Catholic, and had to go to church, ccd claases, and be confirmed. Anyway, I changed my beliefs a few years back. I'm not opening up a "there is/isn't a God" argument, but let's just say I now believe we are all made up of Energy. ....and that snowballs into my beliefs.

Besides personal experiences, I was a paranormal reasearcher/Investigator for a few years with a small group when I lived in Tx. And I have cd's/dvd's of investigations we did with EVP, as well as video of paranormal activities. We also did a segment on WB33 News one year too, and during the interview, I was answering questions about a "legend" at the investigation site, and clear as day, caught on the news, audio came from the crash site!
Some believe, some don't. I guess it's hard to believe in something you've never experienced before.

I go to church now only when I have to out of respect for a wedding/funeral,etc.

I've been really lazy about going the past few years. I was also raised Roman Catholic. I dont trust in all that it stands for, but I love all the ritualistic aspects of Mass, I believe in God, and Im with you AC I firmly feel that there is an afterlife. Very interesting stuff you worked on in Tx!

I never said I didn't think there was an afterlife....I just said I don't believe anyone has been to the afterlife and come back to tell about it....Energy...that's a good thought and in truth we are made up of energy...Think the mitochondria in each and every cell, splitting into 36 parts of  ATP [pure enery] from one fraction of glucose...Pretty amazing crap going on!

Interesting you should post this question. About 2 hours ago, I had a couple of Jehovahs Witnesses come by. Now there are some religions which turn me off, and these peope are the top ones.

I have had Mormon Missionaries, a one other religion and when I said no thanks, they then smiled and left.

Not the JW's they keep yapping and yapping like you hadn't said anything or refuse to listen. Then after you close the door they feel morally superior that they had a door slammed in their face.

I am reminded by the time Jesus approached a ruler and laid it out. The ruler chose not to accept being a "Christian" and Jesus didn't keep yammering on, he left and went on.

One church I liked and attended often had the same words as the Bible. This is by attraction, not promotion that followers are gained. It's one thing to bug people by coming back time after time even though they have expressed their disinterest in such..JW's seemingly don't care, could it be they like doing this to people??

Anyway, I have yet to find a church up here that followed the one I was at before, I'm still looking....

lol....it is al little off subject, but that always happens in post that mentions the Church. Religion and afterlife always get thrown into the mix!!   

Its been a long time for me, i have been to all different types of churches, listened to all different types of testaments and testimonies of the different religions, its all been good and spiritual, it's just with it all it left me confused and with alot of questions, leaving me to where i can't put all my trust, beleif and faith into one. So i just don't go, i beleive in God and i do pray, theres miracles and angels, i simply beleive you are your own temple of faith and belief.

I should go every week, but haven't been feeling well enough to get there.  Plus, my boyfriend has been working some Sundays.  I hope to get back to going weekly starting this weekend.  I've found that church is very good for me.

I go to church every Saturday...going to church doesn't mean you are a true believer but for me as a mother of teenage daughter, the place has been more than great for me...I learn so much and see goodness in people and share each ones life story...all different people but seeking the same...
