I can accomplish amazing things when I set my mind to it

Here is the latest.  I tried a long shot attempt to be able to buy my hdtv before my withdrawals make it to me and it worked.  I went to Best Buy this past Sunday and took my list of different 55 inch hdtvs in my price range to look at the pictures on the screens.  100 hours of online research doesnt show which picture looks good to me.  I looked at the Toshibas, Westinghouses and LGs.  I really want a Samsung which are rated way higher than the ones I listed but they are out of my price range.  The 55 inch LG LK520 model had a fantastic picture.  The others didnt come close.  I dont need internet connection and any other bells and whistles.  I simply need a great picture on a hdtv.  Best buy had this tv on sale for $1,099 but I would have to pay sales tax around $70 so Sunday nite I ordered it online for $1,099 with free shipping and no sales tax.

Heres the amazing thing I accomplished.  I ordered my tv from Vann's located in Montana.  Their rating from online customers far exceeds other appliance stores.  My tv was to be shipped Monday or Tuesday and arrive at my house on Friday.  Tuesday morning I get an email from Vann's, due to system problems they were far behind in shipping orders out and they would send my tv out as soon as possible. With my great luck I was able to shut down shipping operations of a major appliance chain's warehouse.  I am almost proud of myself for accomplishing this.  I ordered HDMI cables rated higher than Monster cables that cost 75% less than Monster HDMI cables online 10 minutes after I ordered the tv from a different place.  It shipped on Monday by UPS and its on the truck and due at the house this afternoon.  I am surprised I didnt somehow screw that company up.

I am offering to all LCB members free help with online purchases that i can almost guarantee you wont receive your purchase on time or u will receive the wrong thing.

I just talked to customer service and its shipping late today.  I cant believe a place on Amazon just added this same tv for $66 cheaper with free shipping but the shipping takes 5 to 7 business days.  Oh well, I will rearrange everything against the wall this weekend for a Tuesday arrival.  It does give me extra time to watch the 45 hours of tv i have taped on my dvr before I head to the cable company for a new hdtv cable box.

Giggly , just giggly .. i still have my tube tv .. someday though, someday i'll get my HD flat panel .. when i stop buying computer parts i guess.. hehe.

I betcha,Gunny...even watching Big Brother wouldn't be so bad once you get your awesome new TV.

55 inches! That's a huge TV, I'm sure you will enjoy it. I have a Samsung though, I preferred to give up on a few inches but get better quality.
