    Hiya Guys and Dolls,

    The other night i was doing a search on google looking for some research here at our forum. I clicked on the very first site that popped up on google. All of a sudden i got all these pop up warnings that my computer was infected! Warnings flashing up everywhere. I was cautious not to click on anything.

    I ran a scan immediately and there was a virus that was quarantined. Thinking i was safe i went on my merry way and continued to work online. The next morning i woke up all hell broke loose. I can't get into anything i downloaded i cant get long on to Firefox only IE. I can even see the file that was downloaded on my computer that was boldy placed on my desktop called "Grand_File"

    It has wreaked total havoc. I hope to get it fixed soon. I think what happened was one of the pop up warnings didn't have an "X" to click off and hit OK. That was the death of me right there.

    It's so damn hard to know what is your system warning you and what is the virus. It did flash repeatedly "windows security 2010" and to update. If anyone has any info on this virus or the name let me know.

    when that happens...DO NOT CLICK THE "x" TO close. it actually runs the program which infected you. restart your puter in safe mode...find the windows security 2010 file, and delete it from any location that it is in. empty your recycle bin and restart. you might be ok.

    Yeah that microsoft one is a very good one, it removes them everytime for me on those sneaky sneaky viruses. I fell victim to it a couple of times, ran the microsoft program, havent had a problem since.

    Theres another one thats called Malwarebytes. Its free, and the best I have seen yet. My brother is a 20 year computer tech and of the free scanners this is what he uses religiously.

    Now uninstalled. Reason? Interfering with my jave for pogo. Plus slowed computer down for some reason. I ran it and found nothing, but dang the computer had to be rebooted three times..No go here...Pity too.

    I was a member for a year. But frankly, I received no benefit from being such. So I dropped the old account and have a new one. I'm pretty much stuck with laua bingo ATM. Nice folks and no cussing allowed grin

    UGHHH I had one of those Nasty Nasty viruses today  >:(

    Not a nice thing to wake up to..I had to do a complete system restore, this one was super ugly, wouldnt let me download a remover, nothing.
