I surrender

Well, my former roommate finally begged me to see his new place. He also begged me to take a room and since I have been working the past 4 months, I finally gave in to his requests. Of course it means I have to put some things on a back burner, but I guess this was a positive experience for me to know I COULD survive living out of my car.

So, come August 1st (Actually it's this weekend coming), I'll have a "Room" which is connected to a house and so I'll have access to things I have not had much chance to use for the past few months.

Thanks to all the well wishers and I'll reset my computer (Which I left with my former roommie, I think he held it in hopes of my returning!) and come next week or so, you will all see me more often then you probably really care to!

Again, all my thanks for your prayers and good wishes. Seen you all soon.

(P.S. It's $400 a month + 1/3 normal bills (Elec/water/garbage) and this past week, my pay was for $450 So I guess I can afford it)

It will be a relief to know you're not living in your car.  Congratulations.  I guess once you are in, it will make you realise how much you missed it?

Have missed you big time and a great comfort to know things are getting better. Have thought of you often and so relieved and proud of your perseverance.

Gene, you're awesome.  You had some bad times come upon you and you didn't complain.  You did what you had to do and instead of laying around, you improved your situation. You refuse to feel sorry for yourself and don't want us to, either.  Gene, you are a kickass kinda man.

From a person who's been through the in's, outs, ups and downs to the near outs....

If there was a mistake, a decision you should or shouldn't have made, something over looked or turned a blind eye to.

May you learn from that mistake, know which decision is correct if there is a next time, be aware of that you were not before or turn and face head on what you once turned away from .

The definition of insanity is to repeat the same mistakes over and over. I may be a bit crazy, but if i become insane the end will come shortly after.

Once you stop learning in life, you have chosen to start dying.

Now stand tall and be proud. Where others have given up, you have overcome. No one ever has to know where you have been. When you are determined and driven all anyone can see is where you are going.

I do not know you, but I am proud of you. You have done well and it took many times the effort of most people to do so. Never forget that. Never forget what you are capable of.

Keep following that path you're on, if needed, carve your own path to stay headed the rite direction.

I have been going through a bit difficult situation lately and when I saw your post/news I couldn't help feeling all of the worries seems washing away and enlightening...
To be honest, I was crying for the situation you were in at first but through the time I have seen the strengths you have shown to your self and many of us that I can not tell you how much we were proud of how you managed so well.
I am truly happy and thanks for being so strong.
