    Hiya Guys and Dolls,

    i just read an article about a protest in NY for the law that forces motorcyclists to wear helmets. In a protest ride a group of cyclist did not wear a helmet to fight for what they felt was their rights.

    In a horrific twist of fate one of the riders hit the breaks and his bike fishtailed out of control throwing him over his handle bars. He was pronounced dead when he arrived at hospital.

    Police said had he worn a helmet he would more then likely survived.

    Our destiny sure takes us in a different direction. Do you think these riders now have a change of heart in the helmet laws?

    I don't know , ya have to be flirting with horrific injury riding on a two wheel machine at high speeds in the first place .. as for the protest and the possible change of heart .. disfigurement would still be there and i'm certain the mental anguish resulting from the accident anyway..something to ponder with our values of being huh?

    I think they will and they should anyway for own safety.
    But then again, sometimes we do continue with our not so wise things/habits knowing that they are harmful...

    Motorcyclists should wear helmets for their own safety but I think that the choice should be left to them. If one wants to be an idiot, like dtsweet says, then he has the right to be that way and maybe die in the process.
