It's Getting Hot in Here.....so take off all your clothes?

Hiya Dolls and Guys,

I am not sure about other countries but here in the US we have had sweltering heat. Where i live we have broke records left and right with dangerous heat that are comparable to the desert with up to 115 degrees with the heat index.

It so hot outside people are warned to stay indoors and limit the amount of electricity used to help prevent a power outage due to the record number of air conditioners and fans running. I dread to see my electric bill this month with the constant air conditioner going 

They were taking calls on the radio this morn for people who did not have air conditioning and how they are staying cool. One woman said she wets a T shirt and puts it in the freezer and right before bed puts it on.

Is it hotter than Georgia asphalt where you live and could you fry an egg on the pavement? If so what are you doing to keep cool?

Lips,I know what you mean!! I've only been going out early in the morning or later in the evening!! HOT...HOT...HOT!!

Thank God for central air!!

I even put a desert sceensaver on my puter!! 

I can't imagine going to bed with a frozen t-shirt on. Eww it would get all wet and soggy in bed. Being without air conditioning would be a total nightmare. The humidity makes it worse although today there is a little less in the air but it's still hot as a firecracker.

My suggestion if you lose power and can't keep cool....go to the casino.

Rose girl i am glad you have central air and are staying cool and yes i agree it is like we are prisoners in our own homes.

I have been feeling ill for 4 days now because here's so HOT!!! Its like 26 celsius indoors and 30outside O_o

It's quite hot here too. I try to stay indoors and have lots of ice cream

It's only supposed to get to 97 today......wow what a relief!!

Maybe we could start a worldwide cool off day!!

Just hop over to England!  16 celsius and chucking it down with rain....again.  We had the wettest June since records began apparently.  I think July will be on a par with June too.

Here's really hot too, between 35 and 40 for days. It was raining yesterday it was really humid. Even during the night, it's around 30 degrees. But, it's not so bad, it's better than winter.

Having just spent the last couple of months in England yes the rain and damp cold days were horrific and will take the heat and sun any day over that. But pssssst i will tell ya a little secret even though i complained about the whether there there are moments i wish we had some of those cold damp days for relief of the heat!

            Froggy, great idea!!  those casinos always pay their electric bill.  (You know that A/C ain't never goin' out!)    Anyhow,  strangely, here in the Tampa Bay area it's in the 90's  but not unbearable.  (Like Chicago) By the way,  that frozen t-shirt thing is giving me some impure thoughts about a contest in a bar...

          Hey guys, even as I am typing this, clouds rolled in and it's gotten dark here; "it's fixin to rain"  as we say here in the south.  This is great but I wish you guys i the midwest would get some.
