Okay so last night Leo won the Academy Award for Best Actor. He was nominated quite a few times but this was finally his year! I was so stressed out waiting to see if he'd get it and he did. The Danish Girl and Mad Max Fury Road had me nervous.
In case you're wondering, yes, I love Leo and he's hot tickets in my book! I have never been more excited for someone to win an Oscar. Share your favorite award winners of all time.

You guys are reminding me of some really great actors.
Any Robert De Niro fans? I think he's fantastic! His new movie Dirty Grandpa was really raunchy and I've heard a lot of people say that they didn't like to see him in that type of role. I personally thought it was hysterical but it's definitely not his usual type of movie. I don't see any Oscars in his future for this film

Nicolas Cage has done some great movies. Looks like his Oscar was won in 1995. I liked him in Wicker Man, Knowing and The National Treasure.
Nic Cage won the Oscar for his role in "Leaving Las Vegas", he was really great in that film.
Di Caprio's Oscar was thoroughly deserved, but not for his role in "The Revenant". I can't figure out why he didn't win it for "Shutter Island" for instance. -

I think that DiCaprio is a well deserved winner. I also think that he already should have won, but at least he finally did it.
And I also think that Robert De Niro is a fantastic actor, though I have to say that my favorite is Joaquin Phoenix. I saw him in Gladiator for the first time, and I thought he was amazing. -

Well I have to agree. Joaquin was really great as Johnny Cash in Walk the Line plus he's a sexy thang! <3

Agreed. Or Aviator. I thought he was fab in that film. The Revenant didn't necessarily have a lot of lines for him but he nailed the emotion, determination and vengeance without saying much at all. I felt anxiety throughout the entire movie. I must admit that it wasn't pleasurable to watch but he's one hell of an actor. -

It's nice to see that Dicaprio finally received this first oscar, but i think he deserved the oscar 15 years ago or something like that , because i saw the movie and can say that, Leonardo acting in Revenant wasn't so special to get oscar, there is many movies with him that deserves more than nomination.

Leonardo is a fantastic actor and it is a shame that he didn't win Oscars long time ago since he had so many awesome movies. Russell Crowe is one my favorites since i watched the Gladiator (my favorite movie), but there are so many that i enjoy watching like Tom Hanks, Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington...

I have always admired the talent of Joaquin Phoenix. What a great actor he is, how convincing he is as the vicious Emperor Commodus in Gladiator and as Arthur Fleck in Joker! Glad he won an Oscar after several nominations, I don't think any other actor could have played those roles...

I think my profile picture speaks for itself

One of my favorite roles of Al Pacino is Leutenant Frank Slade in Scent of a Woman (1999). His portrayal of a hard and rugged military man who was struggling to deal with being so vulnerable after losing his eyesight was truly incredible. Especially the famous monologue near the end of the movie. Although he had many Oscar worthy performances before and after that movie, he was rightfully awarded an Oscar for his role of Frank Slade

totaly agree....he is great !
he killed me in "joker" in "her" he was so good...even as johnny cash
he did a great job. and what i realy like about him is which scripts and roles he chooses...he doesn't just play the simple roles with which you can earn the most money...no matter how well-known he is, he always chooses uncomfortable, weird roles in more or less "independent" productions like " don't worry he won't get far on foot"

Tough call! Leo’s definitely a legend, especially in Inception, where his performance just blows my mind. But Tom Hanks is unbeatable too, The Green Mile, Forest Gump, and Cloud Atlas, each one shows his range in such different ways.
I’m also a huge fan of Johnny Depp’s quirky roles. Edward Scissorhands has that perfect mix of vulnerability and weirdness, and his take on Willy Wonka was ideal.
And, I’ve got to give props to Seth Rogen. Recently discovered him in some series, and his acting totally upped the whole vibe. It’s cool to see him in such different roles, and his energy just makes the shows even better. Definitely a refreshing surprise!
