Lets talk about "Instant Lottery Tickets....

Hi Gang:
  I just bought an instant lottery ticket for $2 and won $50. Yippee.
  Who else plays them out there? Do they have instant lottery tickets worldwide?
  Does anyone feel there is a system to winning at instant tickets? (certain part of roll is where the winners are?)Does that one single million dollar ticket really have a chance to show up at your local grocery store? Are the odds at winning better than at a casino?
            They can be so much fun. They are so hard to not buy as a last minute impulse item, when they are just everywhere at the checkout counter. I have been broke many of times and bought an instant ticket with my last five bucks. Thats just the gambler in me .  Just looking for input, information, and stories.    PMM2008

I didn't know exactly where to post this, i know its an old topic. Anyways about a month ago i bought 5, 2$ "SUNNY MONEY" instant scratch Kansas lottery tickets and guess what........ ?!  i won 10k $ . Just thought id share this with u guys, the picture is HORRIBLE, and its plastered everywhere, in the whole state!! Anyplace that sells Kansas Lottery, my beautiful pic is RIGHT THERE lol  amp;

PS I really only received 7,000$ because the state keeps 5% and Feds withold 25%, so 30% total was taken out , off the top.

            OMG!!  Chantellee, that's awesome.  I always wanted one of those big checks like that !  Never quite happened.  That's too cool, almost puts my faith back in the lottery system (We have one here in Florida) never won more than $50 on a scratch off though.  I went crazy when I won that $50 about 10 years ago; can't imagine how I'd react to 10K.  Congratulations!!

Good for you, that's a awesome win! I love to play the scratchies, like the blackjack one or holiday themed ones. They are also perfect to slip into a bday card. I haven't really had much luck but, I still love to buy them.

I haven't bought an instant lottery ticket in more than 10 years, I can't even remember the last one. I guess I'm going to try my luck soon

What about "scratchers" , i do buy sometimes one or two tickects for 0.5-1 euro and have winnings over 10 euro, lol. But it's fun, we have a lot lotteries here , but not addicted and i don't buy tons of them like others

I don't have any luck on the lotto ones but I did win on the scratch ones 3 times.One for a $1000..years ago and a year ago at Christmas a $500 one and 3 weeks ago another $500!!

  what u r crazy,  500$ is awesome!!.... the most Ive ever won is like 30$ before this win.... lol. So 500$ or $1000 , to me, is still very enticing. Congrats t o u2.

Thanks.... i bought a 55inch Tv, a Car (used obviously)  its an '04 its fairly decent, paid it in full upfront, for only a couple thousand bucks, so as u can imagine its not luxury, by any means lol.  I paid off my debt bout 1000$ worth, which is nice to get off your shoulders or whatever and i helped out a few dif people, one boy took him clothes shopping ( good kid, hard life situation) dropped 600 $ for him. I dunno just stuff like that. Oh i prolly gave 1K$ back to the Lottery, from buying more tickets lol.

Lol theres a VERY DETAILED list, of what I've been spending the $ on lol...... Sorry got a little carried away w it.....

Great stuff Chantellee and Rose! I have never won any lottery based games, and although I did have moderate success with scratch games, it was really just some small wins that I don't count!
I was thinking of starting to play the Euro lottery, you know, just in case that luck strikes, that it strikes me for a few million

I purchase scratch ticket about 3 times a month and my bigest win was 40 eur with 2 eur ticket
