LIAR or THIEF or...

If you had to choose and the choice was either a liar or thief, which would you choose? What I am getting at is my stepdaughter was supposed to be getting married on Friday until she found out she choose a BIG liar. >:(
Said he was almost done with LAW school, must stand for Liars and Womanizers. Anyway, found out he had only been to a community college and his grade point average was  1.115. Said he was getting benefits from the military for school and to buy a house nope, was kicked out, didn't make it past training. Said he was going to work every morning making $20.00 dollars an hr  Uh try $12 but had already been fired .  And the list or should I say lies go on and on. Wow, could it have been that good. I haven't met anyone to date where it has been that good to where you can't hear, see or smell a LIE! Either way, I would rather let cobbwebs with the spiders grow on it/in it before I deal with a liar or a thief!!!

Girl, I can't stand EITHER!!!!!  Unfortunately I am one of those BRUTALLY honest people, sometimes I end up hurting feelings or making people mad cuz I speak the truth.  It's the little "white" lies that really make me mad.  Cuz U KNOW if someone is gonna lie about the small stuff then they are always lying about everything else!  Oh and as far as your step daughter goes, there are a billion fish in the sea.  I don't wanna say she should be like me and question EVERYTHING, but definitely don't believe everything you hear.  I hope everything works out for her.  As far as a thief goes, they are liars too, someone else can have them both! hehe

That is horrible. She has to be completely heartbroken. What makes it worse is that he carried the lie so long. He had ample time to fess up and he didnt!!! I am glad she got found out before she married him. Did she just find out?

I hope she stays strong and does not look back. Loving someone can make us forgive because the pain of the loss is just too much to bare. Love is a strong emotion..too often we make exceptions. I hope she stays strong and walks away and never looks back.

I hope the family will be patient with her.......more than likely her emotions will be up and down. Leaving someone you love is compareable to death. So many stages of grief.

Liar or thief..........hmmm thats a tough one. If i had a gun to my head and had to choose.......i would go for the thief. Afterall maybe he robs banks and there is some fringe benefits......wink!

Lips that is too funny but oh so true! She has all of our support even if she decides to get back with him >:( but for now she is standing strong on her decision to let it go! She gave him a chance to come clean and he broke down in tears ::) and said he came clean with everything and said he would never lie to her again and she fell for it until 20 minutes later he told another one. That was when she was done!

Mond, she is very gullable. :-\  But because she has known him and his family since the 3rd grade, she thought she knew him. But not he case. And no offense taken!

Shelli, my husband tells me I should have been an investigator because I don't let nothing slip by.  He calls me Inspector Gadget!! My mom has always told me I am brutally honest so in my older age I have toned it down. I will still give it to you the way it is, but I have more tact now! (I think). ) People like to talk to me because of my realness, but at the same time it is like a love/hate thing. They love me for telling them how it is, but they don't want to hear it because it hits home hard sometimes. I must be saying something right because they always come back for advice. My philosophy is just tell the truth no matter how bad and we can work through it somehow. But I cannot work with a Lie!

I hate to hear things like this Slots..Makes me upset and frankly I couldn't live with either type.

Slots..this is really terrible.  For me, you cannot love someone you can't trust.

I just hate people who lie more than anything in this world.  There would be no question at all.  And I kinda have a soft spot for bank robbers anyway.

But really, I do feel horrible for her.  Freaken lyin rat..it's really sad.  Why can't people just be who they are.

The key to any indescretion is why did the person do it.....thats what i have to understand. Now if it was some new guy she met....thought she was really hot and wanted to impress her......not knowing where the road would lead....though wrong it is at least understood why.

But once he came clean........he LIED again.......forget it. That i can't forgive or understand. The only thing i can conclude is that he is a CHRONIC liar. And there are some that suffer this affliction. I think its a sickness.

I grew up with a guy who lied so bad it was not even funny. He would lie and say he went to Walmart when he really went to K Mart!! It makes absolutely NO sense.

hey slot junkie.....not trying to defend the man, but sounds to me like he's not a staight out liar....the way you describe it, it sounds like he was telling the truth, but when things didn't follow through, he didn't man up and confess...which of course can be a very hard thing for a man to do....BUT....even if this were the case,[ i could be wrong, and maybe he does just lie about everything] I don't think she should marry him, simply because he doesn't trust in her enough to tell her what happened...I know if I were working and lost my job, my man would be the first one to know, even though I know he wouldn't he happy, but you need to be honest and open with the person your sharing your life with....and if they truley love you them they'll stick by your side no matter what!!
