Without love....what is the point.
blue
Zactly. Love is the basis.
You could have loads of money, and without love, it really becomes meaningless.
Love has been around since forever...Money is a relatively new invention...if I had to choose, I'll take love over money; its stood the test of time and will ultimately prevail. One day the human race will look back in history and gawk and laugh at how the people of today allowed money to confuse them of what is real.
Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you have.

A perfect world would be to have both. But i do think the majority of people would say love. The interesting thing about that is it can reek havoc on a relationship without it and one of the number one reasons for a break up.
Lips
Naaahh. imo, any world that includes money is far from "perfect." Money by design is evil and will always include a majority population that doesn't have it.
The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight-of-hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in inequity and born in sin... But if you want to continue to be slaves of the bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers continue to create money and control credit.

Hi Ishin,
Your right that money is evil. But it is a necessary evil! A perfect world would be not to owe the bank any money. It would be awesome to buy a car without credit or go buy a house with no credit at all. But I don’t think we are going to see that in our life time!
Unfortunately the world we live in here and now would be impossible not to have debt/credit. The real utopia would be having love and money. It is so easy for us to say that money is not important when we can pay are bills, have a roof over our heads and not worry when our next meal will be.
I have never been a material person to judge anyone by what they have or don’t have. What I do have is a great empathy for those who suffer. Suffer from losing their jobs, homes, and life savings. Ask them when they are at their lowest point in life what is more important…..love or money.
We all want to follow our hearts but sometimes our heads get in the way.
I would be interested to hear what members would have to say in this theoretic scenario….
Suppose you were living well. Had money in the bank, a great job and knew that financially you were set for life. You meet someone by chance and in order to be with them you would have to pick up and leave your life behind. This means having to quit a good paying job and give up the luxuries you are accustomed to.
Since this in all in theory, lets say that when you leave it all behind, for the rest of your life you will live in poverty for the sake of love. Remember there is no other alternative or anything you can do to change it. You will struggle daily to survive. You won’t know when or how you will eat your next meal let alone know if you will have a roof over your head.
Would you do it?

Right. If no one owed the bank any money, the value of all the money in the world becomes zero.
Every dollar bill thats out there represents debt. If theres no debt, theres no money.
The idea of a world without money is extremely hard to swallow, I know. We've grown so accustomed to this Monetary Based Economy that currently runs the world. But consider a Resource Based Economy... http://thevenusproject.com/a-new-social-design/resource-based-economy
If you really want to learn more about a world without money, economic slavery, professional elitism, social classes...a world thats self-sustaining, and strives to include everyone...here are some links to get you started:

We will never attain perfection. But imo, a world without money would be much better. -

Good question...seems as if the person who asked the question has three other posts..one which is a link to a bingo site, one in which she has a gambling problem but advertises the site she likes to gamble at, one saying hello and this one.
I will still answer the question..LOVE is more important. -

I found that love and having love takes away the pain of struggles, i have found there is more love in those that do struggle, i have found that the best and most memorable times in my life were the times when we struggled, those feelings just can't compare of how we stayed together as a family through thick and then, and the bond we now have is in it's strength because we struggled. Being THAT.. our success, and our wealth is by far greater riches to behold. We have it all.
I beleive that if we did have it all and we did not struggle, we could be different people with different characteristics, such as not humble or caring, maybe selfish with our deeds.
With love follows success and wealth, to me they don't work in any other order, all three wrapped into one -

Would you rather have counterfeit money or fake love?
I've had problems with both love and with money. My money wasn't as fun when there was nobody to share it with. Neither was love.
Money is one thing. Love could be a million things.
You can't leave this world with your money. You can leave it with your love.
And it's the Love of Money that is the root of all evil...not the money itself.
Love can't feed you unless someone with food loves you. Money can't cure your loss or lack of love but it can distract you from thinking about it.
Money - it's a gas! Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.
You can't just stockpile your love and earn interest on it, now, can you?

smartass....lol i love it
In this case, I'll take the fake love. counterfeit money is worth nothing. fake love is what you make of it. haha
This goes to show...you can take 'love' and 'money' and twist it around whichever way, and in the end somehow love comes out champion... even when its fake! -

Some thougts: One can live a very healthy life without having a special Significant Other. Yes, one may be PREFERED. But, the belief we are not "complete" people without someone else is not very healthy. For me, when I was a younger man I craved a special ONE...which I had for a while and it was very nice. When I become old, I will want one again. But, for now, I have to tell you......it is VERY NICE not having the stress/maintenance of a significant other. I really enjoy my life....and....when I feel the need for some companionship...Ha...nothing a couple of black chips can't buy

On the other hand, one cannot go very long at all without money. -

romantic love was not specified. Surely you love - even if it's paid for with money. Kids? Sunsets? whips? ice cream?
Maybe we should start at the beginning...you are born. you quickly learn to love breathing and milk (probably from a breast) and sucking. You are soon loving your caretakers (probably parents) and maybe then other family or grouphome members. And you even start loving those teeth you just got because you see how much more fun food becomes when you have them. You don't know jack about money, and don't come to love it until you get sucked in.
And then the end-you take all your love with you. If someone wants some of your love they have to look to the past in what you said, did, wrote, created.... But you could control 'your' money from beyond the grave by designating who gets what and how much. Your money can still grow, or it can disappear. Does money last longer than love?
