lucky for insurance

Recently i had a heart attack and was in the hospital for 3 days. i got my bill and it was $45,000. My medical insurance cover most of the bill. All i had to pay was $200. Good thing i had insurance cuz the funny thing was i was going to ask my boss to give me the for my medical insurance and i would get my own, but all these yrs paying for it i thought nah i don't need medical insurance i don't even go to the doctor and look  all this $ I would get. Good thing i didn't.

Thank heavens you were sensible enough not to ask for the kynettie!  That would have been an absolute disaster.

I'm guessing you are all ok and a picture of health now.

Thanks for sharing this, it might persuade some people not to do what you intended to with the insurance money. I hope you are in great shape now.

Healthcare is so expensive. There is something to be said about saving for a rainy day. Thank God things worked out and you kept the insurance. We need you here feeling as good as new

Great reminder for everyone kynettie. Sometimes we take it all for granted when we spend a fortune on insurance and think it is a waste of time. Someone up stairs was looking out for you in more ways then one.

I spent $19,770 out of pocket for medical/dental insurance for my family last year.  I own a small company so I had to pay it all.  Also had a $5,000 deductibe per person. 

Thankfully no major health issues but dang it to hell... it hurt to pay that much but had to....just in case.

I am truly sorry that you went through such a difficult time and sincerely hope that you re doing well.
Through the years especially with my kids, I consistently learn the importance of having insurances and I too just had an experience nothing compares to what you went through but my van had a major problem and if hubby didn't buy an extended warranties ins.,it would have cost me over 5000 plus rent car to fix it...but only cost me $100 deductible...I thought it would be a waste of money to buy it but I learned my lesson.

I also do the same Kynettie. I am looking into those ecigarettes though. I have cut alot of the salt off the food.

In my case, the bills were about the same. But the hospital "Forgave" 100% of them. Heck, I was so broke I couldn't pay attention!
