Marilyn Monroe Does Chicago

A sculpture of Marilyn Monroe in her most famous pose from "The Seven Year Itch" was unveiled in Chicago on Friday morning.

All 26 feet of Marilyn stands tall and proud on the Magnificent Mile. This area has displayed some interesting works of art over the years. Some might remember the fiberglass cows scattered around Michigan Avenue.

The Marilyn Monroe statue will stand until Spring 2012.

That is a pretty awesome statue and the detail is amazing.

OH, shamefull me. Great comment lips. It's been awhile since I've seen the movie, but when this scene comes on, I don't remember those boxer type panties thats on the statue, I remember Bikini panties, on Marylin Something or someone, forgot to tell the sculture. Now my curiosity is boiling, maybe google can help.

That's probably one of the most famous movie scenes ever and the statue seems to replicate it extremely well. Marylin was great, simply great. Too bad that she had a sad life overall.

chilly, say it isn't so. You don't where those type, do ya? I googled the 7 year itch. It appears there were several shots of this scene. Some are in boxers, and some in bikini's. Those boxers, JUST DON'T DO IT. for me. I believe deep down, Marylin didn't deal with those either!

Aw, Rico, you can imaging me in whatever underwear you like, but us larger old ladies usually wear the type you see in the picture I posted.  Or none at all.

That's sounds very nice.  When I make margaritas, I make a mess and my fingers are all limelicious.  And strawberry margaritas made with frozen strawberries is pretty good too!  Alas, no tequila....
