Middle names....

Hi gang:
  Most of us have a middle name. Some of us may have more than one.

As far as your middle name(s) goes, were you named after someone? A friend of the family? A relative? Where did your middle name come from?  How about middle names that have continued in your family for generations?

My middle name is Marie.  Unfortunatly, I have no idea where this came from , and no one to ask, however I do like the way it goes with my first name. Kinda rolls off your tongue in a smooth way. .

My mother gave my brother the Middle name of "Claude" after my grandfather.  I thought that was so neat, yet my grandfather hated the name and was not thrilled.

I look forward to hearing some stories about where your middle name came from.

I have 2, but unfortunatly im only telling one. Its Wesley, and I dont think theres any specific thing it came from. If so mom's never told me !

Yes, but I hate my other middle name. Thought about actually having it changed once. !  Wesley is actually a name thats been carried from my mothers father, and with my 2 sisters and I its being continued.

Well, my parents were weird, i actually do have 4 names, first 2 middles and a last, my middle could not be decided so they gave me both, but i'll tell you, go ahead and give it a guess as what it is...

hint: its a fruit; very beautiful blossoms

I only have first and last name...wonder why parent were so lazy...   I  have to repeat that I don't have one to almost every places...and still they will keep on asking me what  my middle name is and I tell them I don't got one and they almost don't believe me... so I made sure my kids have them which of course is my maiden name...ha ha.
Blue gave me a good idea...maybe I should give myself one how 'bout, -nan tucket??? ...

Well all but one of my kids have middle names, Jiana Mia, Jadon Thomas, Carter Jordan, Jordan Carter, Brooklyn Skye...and then there is Nicholas hes named after his father who doesnt have a middle name!

Mine is Michelle..nothing spectacular.  However..my best friend in elementary school had the middle name PRUDENCE.  Seriously her name was Sarah Prudence.

well, guys I don't have one, being born in Europe things are a little different i guess, my parent didn't name me my dad's mom did and she didn't give me one. but i have always felt left out because of it.

Mine is Eugene..Yes, like the city in Oregon..Though I am in Washington...No reason why, except that was the same name my Grandmother gave to my Father...It wasn't till I got my birth certificate, I found out I was also a "Jr"...(This was in 2006 BTW) go figure

My middle name is Crystal, so I'm Allyson Crystal, my mother's first name is Shirley and her middle name is Temple (Really,I could NOT make this up) so I guess my Grandmother was trippin,LOL no I guess my mother was born around Shirley Temples heyday,and I was born around the time the actress June Allyson was popular,hence my first name......gee whiz the starstruck women in my family!!

My uncle had the strangest middle name - Quick.  I've never ever heard of anyone else with that name and I have no idea where it came from.

A friend of mine had a foster child...Daphne Marie Goodenough....yep,went by Daphne M. Goodenough.True story...LOL!!!Mine is Marie too...Rose Marie,

My middle name came from my Mom who also has my middle name....Gail.  My first name came from The Brady Bunch and it isn't Marsha or Jan lol. 

I do have some pretty weird family names.  My great Grandmother's name was Birdie and her last name was Thweatt .  I also have a Grandmother named Eula Mae and one named Viola.  I guess these are southern names.  Who knows?  I am glad that my parents picked normal names for my sister and I. 

I on the other hand LOVE names that are not very common.  My boy's names are Jaden, Linden and Ashton (Ashton was my girl name I had picked out for 13 years!)  When Ash came along in 07 I said "Oh well, use it now or never have the chance again!

My middle name is Rae.  Lynette Rae.  I hear my grandma picked my first name, and for the record I go by Lyn   and my middle name is supposed to be after my grandpa Ray, my mom's dad who died when she was 4 years old.  BUT- I am told that my biological father who I never met's name is Ray also.

Both of my kids have the middle name Lee.  Dh put his foot down, it's a family thing I guess.  So my stepson is B. Lee, our 4 year old is Chance Lee, and on a compromise, our 3 year old daughter is Sinclaire Leigh.  I got him to agree to a spelling change because she is a girl.
