Mom Gives Botox to 8-Year-Old

Have you heard about this woman injecting her 8 yr. old daughter with botox? She thinks helps her in pageants.

Kerry Campbell said she got the idea from other pageant mothers, calling it "pretty much, like, the thing. I'm not the only one who does it."

Well, now she has lost custody after publicly defending her behavior.

"It's pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with Botox and certainly is grounds for an investigation," said Trent Rohrer of child protective services at the San Francisco Human Services Agency. "We need to sit down and talk with the mom, talk with the child, and see what's going on."

Outrageously ridiculous.
That reminds me of a mom who approved 7-year-old for plastic surgery to pin back ears to avoid schoolyard bullying...
I watched the news about a mom who believes her daughter will be a laughingstock and
so upset about her daughter's "cup ears" that she approved her for ear pinning surgery.
According to her,
"This was a preventative way, so she wouldn't get bullied," Cammy Shaw, a South Dakota mom, told "Good Morning America." "Kids are mean. That's just how they are."
Although she hasn't been 'bullied' yet, Cammy feared that her daughter's ears would eventually make her self-conscious and shy...........BUT for Pete's sake, she is just a child!!!

Ya know......I watched before and after surgery and to be honest,I didn't find it better.
And I don't believe doing any of these for children will help them...they will most likely to grow with low self esteem and always conscious about their outlook.

I watched this story on TV and I was shocked! The girl should be taken away from that woman, she's insane!

Another Child Beauty Pageant offense.  Not surprised.  I'm surprised they aren't giving them breast implants or fluffing their behinds to show them off more.
But the saddest thing is the little girl.  Already traumatized by the press and the allegations and the confusion of her mom being put in the spotlight, they take her away from her family.  Do you know how traumatic that is for a child?  That is going to hurt her way more than getting a botox injection.  It's going to hurt her way more than it hurts her mom, in the long run.  These folks need love and counseling, not destruction of the family.
I find it very sad the things child protective services do and don't do.  20 miles from me in the Barrios of San Antonio, little children are making heroin deals for their parents and grandparents.  It's everywhere.  Here, Johnny, go take this over to Pablo and bring back the money he gives you.  By twelve, they are starting their own businesses dealing smack.  Where is the protection from this?
Sorry to get a bit off topic, but I hope they start working on getting that girl back home where the worst her mom did was err in judgement trying to fulfill her dreams by botoxing her daughter so she has an advantage in the pageant.

Yeah chilly. Breast implants will probably be the next step and moms claiming they're certified to do so.
