My next "big" win...

Ok, as SOME of you may know, I have been hitting some nice wins at some video pokers lately. So. Here's a though: The NEXT "big win" I will get from a video poker, I will be doing something NICE/charitable with that amount of money.

Say if I win $500 on one hit. It doesn't matter whether I've got balance in my account before or not. The win I would get, I would have to figure out ways to spend that amount on something nice for those who need some stuff WAY more than I do, especially during these days.

Ok, so $500 might not be much, but it is hella much for those who got like...nothing. And instead of just "donating" the money away, which can be a good thing, of course, but it's not my way of doing something nice, I want to get/buy things for that amount to help others.

Here are SOME of my "suggestions":
- Some blankets, clothings and winter'ish stuff to the poor ones
- Buy something warm edible and drinkable for the poor ones
- Get something nice for the orphanage and their children (since I know how much it SUCKS to not have someone to celebrate a new year with)
- Give some kind of a gift, like free tickets to cinema, amusement park, the aquarium and/or local sightseeing stuff

If you've got more suggestions to come with, feel free to suggest them here. I am open to most things anyway.

Anyways, that's my plan for my next win that I get, whenever that happens. I know this is not a place to ask for these kind of things, but I am fairly sure that some of you will be dear enough to come up with some suggestions or even say a word or two.

And if I haven't said it before, I'll say it again; KEEP on enjoying these holidays some more and hopefully you guys will have one nice new years eve! Have a nice one and all that!

How about

- giving an unwanted animal a home and spending it on keeping that animal.
- preparing some nice food hampers to give away to elderly needy people in your area
- paying an elderly persons fuel bill for the winter

I'm sure you will get a load more suggestions.

Oriug this is a wonderful idea! And this is a great place to ask it since there are so many people that will read it.

My thought was that you could buy food in bulk at a warehouse store and deliver it to a local soup kitchen or a shelter. I have done this in the past and they have many people in need at their doors and not always enough to go around.

Since places like shelters interact with the homeless I have also donated sleeping bags and blankets. Extra good luck to you oriug and Happy New Year!

Something for children would be nice, children deserve all the help they can get and a small gesture can make a big difference for a kid. By the way, it's very kind of you to think about spending that money for charity, hats off to you!

Oriug... I am sure this is a response that relates to the big mess at the casino that won't pay you because of the video poker you played after WR was met... I commented there that I truly feel for you and that this is crazy making stuff...

But, I do not believe that even this can make you reverse your gentle, giving, and good nature and become EVIL... the world does make sense, good guys finish last... It is not a good sense that it makes, but the EVIL people who seem to win are miserable, ugly, whining, misbegotten SOB's... and you both can't and don't want to be like that...

Don't get me wrong... venting about this is not a bad thing... but please when the venting is done, let that wonderful good side of you take over and shine through like it has thus far!
