Narco Estado, Drug Violence in Mexico,

thats the titel of a new photobook from warphotographer Teun Voeten from the netherlands, i cant post the photo's, they are too violent and shocking for some....but look it up if you want.

Its insane how far people can go for drugs and money........
Drug Abuse is bad, but that drug war is worse............

Awful.  Just awful.  I looked at them all.  Very sad.

Very disturbing but we are living in the world where being emphatic and compassionate is considered to be a weakness; now imagine the world of drug trafficking and money.  One must kill in order not to be killed. It's as simple as that. 

I'm not trying to justify anyone but that's a cruel world for whoever decide to join it.

Juarez boarders the US and our gov has offered to step in but they refused it. These cartels are controlling everything including the police and government. They have taken complete control. Some towns no longer have a police department because their lives are in such danger and some of those cops are in with the cartels.

This problem has been going on for years with no end in sight. I don't really know what the answer is to control it. Local governments in towns have tried to step in a fight the war only to end up dead.

Mexico has always been a hot spot for US tourism but now its suffering due to the violence especially on the Pacific ocean side. It is very sad to see this happen and the only answer seems to be a full on war to clean it up.

Very sad. This has to end but I can't imagine how they can get it under control. So sad because the country and culture is beautiful.

It will take some guts from the government to control this. Then again, if they refused the help that has been offered, maybe they don't want to? Who knows how high the drug money can go...

Its not about help, or more war... this topic is old, but, we accepted USA help, results: Plan Mérida, Operacion Rapido y Furioso, more violence every month.

The problem is the black market, the drugs dont need to be illegal, now, its a really big market that even the federal govt is scared to stop, becouse high demand and high incomes from USA, and, in half of the country, some of that cash goes directly to local govts., their power is awesome, check the last Sinaloa shootings, the army cant control them, and even all the worlds army will cause a serious damage to our society.

We need a open mind regulation, specially by drug making countries (Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Afganistan) and the ones who abuse from ilicit drugs (USA, UK, Spain, Australia, South Asia)
