    A man from the US has eaten no less than 69 hot dogs, beating his own world record at an annual 4 July competition at Coney Island in New York.

    His name is Joey Chestnut and his nickname is "Jaws" smiley

    He ate all those hot dogs in just 10 minutes, breaking his old record of 68 and winning the world title for the seventh year in a row. The first such hot dog eating contest was held in 1916, when the winner bagged just 13 hot dogs.

    "I feel a little full," Joey said after beating the record. "I'm happy as heck. Things couldn't have gone much better."

    OMG I could only watch for about 20 seconds - it made me feel sick.  I liked the "DQ for "reversal of fortune" line though.

    They are just piling them down their throat without chewing.  Crazy guy; amazing record.

    Eating contests are so gross to watch. I love hotdogs but I couldn't eat 69 of them. Speaking of hotdogs how do you like yours? I love mustard and onions only. In Chicago you do not put Ketchup on a hotdog. In some places you don't even bother to ask for it because they don't have it. The classic Chicago style hotdog is mustard, onion, relish, tomato, pickle, celery salt and a lot of times you see sport peppers on them. Our hotdogs are often referred to as the garden dog.
