New & Improved Avatars!

Hey guys,

No doubt you have noticed the new and improved avatars. 

We felt like making a change, but nothing too drastic! Just something nice and cute to shake things up a bit. So we freshened up your looks!

Your avatars are now stylized to be more appealing and fun.

Members are assigned an avatar according to gender and status. Members who do not select gender are assigned a neutral avatar. 

Your avatar has a status badge with assigned color to indicate your current level.

There is a colored progress bar circling your avatar - it shows how much is left to reach the next level. We think that visual representation of progress adds a touch of clarity to your journey, so you can really see how far you've come in this community. 

Now, you're not obligated to have one of these predefined avatars - you can upload any photo or image you want. Members who opt for pictures/images instead of avatars will also see the progress bar and status badge in the color of their current level.

In the beginning when Avatars where introduced mine had a red circle at the bottom. For the first few days I used to click on it thinking I have a notification. Then I figured out it's part of my Avatar.😂

I like my new avatar ! good one.

LOL i also thought jt was some new perk then realized its different for each members group.

At first my feeling was saying 'no' I like the old style more, after a while you get used to it and now feels like it's better then ever before! 

Jeejj, almost rid of the newbie stat!

Hi all!

We have been working on improving the user avatars and adding even more customizable features! 

Here's how it works:

1. In the upper right corner of the website, go to your Profile > My profile details and scroll down to find the Create your avatar!  feature. 

2. Your first option is to generate a random avatar using the toggle button highlighted red in the screenshot below:

3. To add a personal touch and customize your avatar, click on the features button to select among a wealth of options and accessories:

• Skin color
• Mouth
• Hairstyles
• Hair color
• Facial hair
• Clothes
• Fabric color
• Glasses
• Accessories

Each of the above features offers multiple options to fix your hair, earrings and clothes just the way you like it, so you will surely find something to fit your idea of an awesome avatar :)

4. Once you've made your choices, select "Set as profile picture" and you're ready to browse the forums looking more fabulous than ever!

Great job! add style to our profiles. Now every visit to the forum becomes even more interesting! 😄

The new avatar system added a personal touch and a visual element of gamification to the community experience. The progression through different levels from **Newbie** to **Super Hero** with the status badge and color-coded progress bar is a creative way to show were we are all at.
