Today is the last day the coin will be distributed after minting stopped in May as a cost-saving measure. the penny will be rounded up or down to the nearest nickel . I read some where that the USA is also thinking of doing this. also they want to get rid of the USA dollar bill and make it just a coin. they say it's cheaper than the paper to make the dollar bill. so if your a collector start saving your pennies...lol

That's interesting. How are they removing them from circulation or everyone with a penny will find them to be useless? Would have been smart to cash in that jar of pennies ASAP. They are silly little things aren't they. On one hand I wouldn't mind seeing them go but on the other hand it kinda throws "see a penny pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck" out the window. I say that whenever I see one
