People watching...

There is such a contrast of people on any given day whenever I visit a land casino. I just cant help but sit back and watch some of the differences.
    Last night, on one side of me, I saw a woman happily grinning as she fed  the machine twenty dollar bills, yet on the other side of me I saw a man that after depositing a mere fifteen dollars was outraged the machine had not paid him the jackpot. haha  I saw people truely enjoying themselves and their experience, yet I saw others that looked like they were in pain every time they hit the spin button.  :-\ I saw a man jump from one machine to the next after a single spin, yet I saw people happily stay on the same machine all night long.   I see young kids that have to prove they are old enough to get in at the door, yet I see people so elderly they had to have help reading the machine.   Some folks drink a tremendous amount of alcohol to ethier enhance or deaden the experience, yet others choose to stay sober and drink that terrible free casino coffee they offer all night long. 
So many differencees, in people, and in behaviors.  I just thought it so intersting, and I can't help but people watch every time I go.

I am a huge people watcher. I always say i don't go to the zoo to watch the animals, i go to watch the people!!

I  have to admit i get so caught up in my own world at the casino, i don't pay much attention while playing. But when i stop to eat or have to wait for a friend because i am busted, i watch.

It does not matter what you wear, who you are, who your with. Gamblers come from all walks of life. The only people who really make me kinda of sad are those who look close to poverty level and spend every penny they have.

I recall a woman i sat next to all nite a couple years ago, who spent her all of her rent money at the casino. She said she was lucky if she had gas to make it home. I felt soooo bad! I flipped her a twenty (i was ahead) for gas. She refused at first but i insisted.

really nice post PMM. i watch ppl all the time to. its fashinating. some come with my work, and the reason i choosed what i work with. its amazing how we can get amazed of eatchothers, as persons.

People watching or crowd watching is the act of observing people and their interactions, usually without their knowledge.

I had no idea there was a definiton for this on the internet. 
      Anyways, has anyone ever had the unlucky experience to (witness) or people watch  a fight at the casino??
Mine was more comical than serious. It was a man and his wife, and she was extremly upset that he was broke already and they just got there. "I told you to slow down, but you wouldn't listen!!"        The wife was quite vocal and you couldn't help but over hear and pay attention to the show.  Anyone else people-watch people INTERACTING at the casino??

I must admit, I dont people watch much in a casino.  I usually go late at nite because for some reason I hit more and have won my most money at that time.  But then again thats when the weirdos are there esp after 1AM.  You see all the diehards, tweakers and the drunks who come in after the bars close.  Omg and then they start banging the machines either cause they are mad or they think it will loosen up the payout...hahaha.  We have one strange casino near where I live.  I've never seen what ive seen at any other casino that ive been to.


Plus when im playing im INTO MY MACHINE.  I'm pretty much strictly a Video Keno Player.  I'm much to busy watching my numbers.  I'm watching the number combos coming up.  Seeing if the other numbers I use come up.  Should I change my numbers or play 5 bucks more and then change numbers...LOL  I go thru this whole ritual.  But i have fun and clears my mind of life's stressors so its all good.

Maybe i'll start paying more attention around me, now that you mention it, so i can come tell you alllllll about it...LOL

Here's a good trick to people watch and not get caught...where shades that people can't see your eyes....it works wonders!
