Plane Tracker

One of my relatives is in the air at the moment travelling to Heathrow and I wanted to find the current position of the plane.  I found it on this tracking site and she is just coming up to fly over Romania. 

Check out this pic that astounded me of Europe.



Each one of those is an aeroplane.  It's amazing that there aren't more plane crashes.

Are you scared of flying?

Even taught about getting into plane scares me. Never used it and never will, and there is absolutely no circumstance that can change it

I also dont like when someone else drives me in any kind of vehicle, I trust no one but myself on that matter The only acceptable ways of travel for me are me driving myself in my own car and travel by train or boat (if crossing water is involved)

I can understand that drtheolen re the car thing.  A colleague of mine used to give my friend a lift home when her car was off the road.  My friend sat in the back as there was one other passenger and apparently the driver used to turn round whilst driving to talk to my friend on the back seat.  She was petrified.

Wow, this picture looks really impressive. So many planes... No wonder the air traffic controller is among better paid profession.

No, I'm not scared of flying. Statistically it is the safest mean of transportation these days. But I agree that that picture looks quite scary with all those planes. However, the sky is immense, both horizontally and vertically

I agree on that statistic Johnny, but how many people statisticaly survived the plane crash?

Thats the statistic that troubles me, whathever happens on the plane, theres not much you can do about it.

I'm not scared of flying, and that picture is really amazing. Whenever I have an opportunity I chose to travel by plane.

I wondered what USA would look like so I just had a look.....

Oh dear, can't even dare to imagine what could happen if something goes wrong with the traffic control software!

That sight is pretty amazing! I can't believe the number of planes, but when I sit back and think about it, I hear and see planes constantly. We are all in a hustle to get somewhere, flying doesn't bother me at all, but a job that required me to do it all the time would be rough

Well, no wonder that Air Traffic controller is a really well paid job. Not sure if I would like to do it with all the responsibility....

      Wow, that is pretty cool Markotik.  I'm afraid all these pictures really didn't help my fear of flying though. 

It does look frightening but as long as flight controllers are doing their job, I'm at peace.

Being a flight controller is extremely stressful job, but also with a more than adequately compensated!
